Jumpscare warnings? (Spoilers!)

I'm really enjoying the demo disc so far, but I noticed the content warnings don't cover jumpscares? (SPOILER WARNING  for The Heilwald Loophole!) The Heilwald Loophole only warned of "sudden loud noises" and "mild violence," so I was really alarmed when Dr. Randolph appeared. I had to close the game when I was following him to his office and he suddenly attacked me. (END SPOILER)

I have an anxiety disorder, so I'd like to be able to avoid the more jumpscare-heavy games and focus on the ones that are more atmospheric, but it can be hard to tell which ones will be okay for me or not.

(I apologize if this comes across as silly!)

hey there! I’m Aidan, I made the drowning machine. Not sure if it qualifies as a jump scare, but there is a sudden loud noise regarding a train around midway through Movement IV, but to my knowledge that is the only thing in that ballpark :)

Thank you so much! I haven't played the Drowning Machine yet, but from what I've seen on the game's page, it looks absolutely beautiful. It's really touching that you made a game in honor of your friend, I'm sure that would mean the world to him.  As a young trans guy who struggles with depression, I appreciate that a game like this exists. Thank you for your hard work, sending virtual hugs to you and Charlie's family.

thank you so much! I hope the experience is exactly what you’re looking for :)

Yeah I don't like jumpscares either, but thankfully there don't seem to be many in this collection. I've played a few and so far Heliwald Loophole seems to be the most jumpscarey one. Janitor Bleeds also has some sudden noises, but they're a bit milder.

Seemingly jumpscare-free:

Agony of a Dying MMO, That Which Gave Chase, Echostasis, Lorn's Lure, The Lunar Effect, Chasing Static, Pathogen-X, Risu, Mummy Sandbox, The Chameleon, Fiend's Isle, Ghastly Goodies

Thank you, I really appreciate this! An Outcry and Peeb Adventures are both ones I enjoyed that didn't seem to have any jumpscares, and as noted earlier, The Drowning Machine is jumpscare free aside from one sudden noise.

here's a video for a playthrough of ARD (and the secret ending for Walk), in the comments there is one listing the jumpscares, although (coming from someone who also has trouble with jumps) they are very mild and quite manageable. i hope it's alright to link this video, it's not mine but i thought it would help.
