Two questions about NSFW

I understand that selecting NSFW in the metadata is to prevent people who have toggled that off from being shown the game, but can people without an account or who have elected not to see NSFW still get to the game if they use a direct link?

I read in another response that as long as the initial landing page does not contain adult content and there are sufficient warnings that the game is NSFW/adult in the info (in my case, also the very first screen in the in-browser display) before the game starts that it's okay to not tick the NSFW box in the metadata. I wanted to make sure this was not a breach of policy/etiquette before considering it as a possibility.

The game can always be accessed directly regardless of the Adult Content (previously called NSFW) setting. The setting only removes the project from the browse and search pages for people who not have enabled adult content browsing. I definitely think we need more refined settings. For the time being, if the project page, image, and title contains nothing explicit it should be okay to leave it unchecked. Just make sure you include an appropriate warning on the. We'll probably change our policy about this on the future though, since we want to make the site safe to browse for a younger audience and that means making it a bit more difficult to access the adult content.
