Feature request: opt-out of generating notifications for others and listings on an individual basis

I feel weird if I'm the first to ask for this, but please, for me, would you consider an option to opt out of having every dev-blog post and application files upload to be broadcasted (notifications sent out, published in listings, etc?) Because I want to do these things, I just don't want them to be a bother, or rather, I don't want to weigh the concern I have of being noticed against taking these actions.

Specifically (1) I would like to be able to write a simple dev-blog of changes that shouldn't be of interest to anyone not subscribing to the product in question, such that only subscribers are notified... such that the dev-blog isn't listed anywhere outside the product's pages. And (2) I would like to be able to update application files whenever a significant improvement is made, but I don't want anyone to be notified of this, I just want the next downloader to have the improved application. If I believe it warrants sending out notices to subscribers I will write a dev-blog.

In short, I don't feel like my actions always rise to the level of warranting notifications and sometimes I'd prefer to do them stealthily. If I can do this it will be a load off my conscience. Thank you :)

The problem with that is, people don't subscribe to projects, they subscribe to you. So when you post updates, they go to all your followers by definition.

That said, other people have requested the ability to filter what parts of their activity are public, so they don't broadcast every rating they give for example. But I'm not sure what the dev team is planning.

I find this stressful to think about, but something else to consider is if itch.io is going to alert everyone every time a file changes, this is also stressful and noisy since you're not telling them how or why the file changed... so in my case I'd prefer to not be the source of these notifications (it's not really about my privacy but not wanting to buzz or disturb or make people have to stop to think, this is impolite) but if I were to want people to know my uploaded file changed, then it seems reasonable to input a comment on the upload to explain why it's being changed, and in the absence of this, telling people it changed doesn't help them at all... all they can do is download it and wonder what changed, that seems not a net-net good of any kind.

As for subscribers/subscribing, whether to publisher or product is not really important (granularity) but it seems like listing all dev-blogs puts a terrible onus on the blog writer to say something worthwhile, I'd much prefer to write a utilitarian entry, in which case I don't want mine to be listed alongside more interesting blogs, since that degrades the value of the public listing (which I might want to be in order when I do write something more substantial) and most of all makes me ask myself if I can afford to write my plain blog at the expense of others'.
