My game is not appearing on the search anymore

My itch.io page recently got attacked by a bunch of organized trollers who bursted in and  left a lot of negative comments. They said they were doing this for fun . After that, I found that the daily views of my game reduced dramatically and it is not normal at all (My game has average 1k views per day for the last 6 months and now it suddenly dropped to 100 views per day). Then I realized it is because people can't search my game nor my creator name anymore.

My game has NSFW contents, I am aware of that, but I can't search it even after I logged into another account.

I really want to know what happened on my account. It definitely has something to do with those trollers.

Your game was deindexed. Please contact support for more details.

I didn't receive any email about that nor any notification on my itch account. It feels like I got stabbed in the back by itch.io. I was a victim of cyberbullying. Those trollers didn't get any punishments but I got my game deindexed by itch.io? I feel sad man...

I don't know why it happened or when, sorry. It might be unrelated. Support should be able to tell you, or failing that I can ask an admin.

Would you be so kind as to ask an admin about my issue for me? I emailed the support but haven't got any reply yet for two days.

Already done. Could have told you myself, but I didn't notice: you don't offer a game for download, but just links to your Patreon page. That doesn't meet our quality guidelines, and is a misuse of external links. Hope that clears things up.

Thank you for your kind help and letting me know what I did wrong. I have removed the external links to my patreons and provided direct downloads for pc and android users.

Because you don’t actually provide your game on itch.io, you’re using our tool to allow you to link directly to a file to instead link to a Patreon page. You can learn more on our quality guidelines, thanks:

Ensure you have files uploaded to the project page. Your page must be purchasable, downloadable, or playable in the browser to be indexed

Generally speaking, we’re going to be pushing developers away from the “External file” tool. It prevents us from ensuring that the file is actually available and doesn’t let us do things like scan for viruses or scan for the contents of the project.

In this particular case, you have paid content linked on a page that is classified as free as well. So it creates classification problems as well.

Thanks for your clarification. I have removed all the external links to my patreon and provided the direct free download for pc and android users. There is only one external link left which leads to a Mega folder and I will remove that too asap.

Can my game get indexed again?

It should be indexed now.
