New Developer with First Game not Indexing

First let me say that I've read the 'Getting Indexed' docs and I've checked and re-checked my submission page to make sure I'm in compliance. I submitted my game with a downloadable demo on October 5th, and this is 11 days later, so I believe I've been fairly patient.

Searching by my game name 'COVIDTRON 2020' and by my studio name 'exnihilodev' yields no results.

I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue.

Thank you.

I submitted my game with a downloadable demo on October 5th, and this is 11 days later, so I believe I’ve been fairly patient.

Not sure why, but looking at your community page (https://itch.io/profile/exnihilodev) it says the profile was registered 4 days ago. Not sure if something weird happened when you created your account or that happens on all profiles?

Also from what I’ve read here, you need to create a creator’s page, that shows all your games. This will make your profile searchable, but I believe it also impacts new games from being indexed.

Thanks for the response and the tip DD. I'll look into the 'creator's page', though I thought my developer page was that. Apparently not. Cheers!

Well, after looking through the Help for a 'creator page' I don't see anything different then my developer page which is here -> https://exnihilodev.itch.io and my profile page, which is here -> https://itch.io/profile/exnihilodev

Both of these can be reached by typing the URL into your browser, but searching from itch's main search widget does not yield my page for 'exnihilodev'.

So I am still stumped as to why my game and profile is non-existent to the search index of itch.io.

Now that you’ve created your creator’s profile, you need to wait a few days to allow it to be reviewed.

I suggest you wait about 5 business days and check back then.

Your game and profile are still public, so you can still market your creations and share the URL, and any advertising campaigns are still valid. Uploading your 1st creation is a serious step both for you and for Itch. Once you reach a point where you upload your 10th creation, things will feel smoother.

Edit: Just saw the update that it’s all well and your game is indexed now. Congratulations for your first creation being live to everyone! Hope you enjoy the experience and keep creating! :)

There must be a mistake. Both your game and your profile show up as created four days ago. That still means your game should have been indexed by now, so I gave it a bump. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much!
I double-checked my analytics and I may have confused myself as to when I posted my game (I've been head down in development and promotion and I could have mixed up posting on itch.io with another site, so the 11 days may be incorrect), but as you stated, four days should be long enough I would think. Again, I appreciate your assistance and hopefully this all gets resolved soon. :)

Just wanted to update this thread to let you know this issue is closed. 'No Time To Play' was kind enough to get involved and apparently that was all it took as my dev page and game are now showing up in the search. Thanks again to all that assisted.
