what if my games are too short to require a devlog

please dont say there are no good short games. there was many pc minigames i found that were paid and had views. so it looks like most of these devs wrote up a story for their games. but even if i made up a story for mine the store alone would not be necessary and far too short. my games are only 2d so no need for me to include long advanced feature instructions on them. so is there another option than a devlop to get my games out there

also not sure why the tag is there, i put just started cause im new to itch [not making games]

i thank any replies

You don't have to write a devlog. You don't have to post a devlog here, even if you do. But it also has nothing to do with the size or length of your game, but simply how much you have to say about it. So decide base on that.

thanks

The game we're working on is also quite short, but we'll need a few weeks or months to get it done, so we post a weekly devlog with whatever we have gotten done. Is the game you're planning to make gonna take a while to finish? In that case maybe writing a little note about what you've gotten done once in a while might be fun :)

not going lie, if i had the time my games would have come out tremendous better

I mean, I don't know your life situation or your game, but if you feel like giving your game a few more weeks or so before you release it would be a good thing, why not do that? if you don't have to have a specific deadline i mean.

well it might be a good idea to focus on 1 project

I know it's hard, i also have a new idea halfway through my current project all the time :) But in my opinion it's better to make one thing well and then move on. I'm no pro though, im currently working on the first game im planning on releasing
