I was honestly surprised people were able to catch the concept even with half the assets still being white boxes lol. super cool to see at least someone caught on. Also yuh upgrades were something I planned to implement during development among others as one does in a game jam but didn’t get to in time. I’m still building things out though. Sound design and a few other ideas are on the way.

Clean game. I think the only part that felt bad was just how the UI was laid out. I think the main one for me was that I wish i could see wat the shoppers wanted while i was looking at my stock. I also felt like I couldn't really tell if i was really making a profit from my sales. regardless enjoyable experience
very cool and funny gameplay bruh. I love the comments u put at the top of each level. I also found it nice that u kept the test levels in cause it kinda kept me in to see wat the other ones looked like. i think the only thing is i cant tell if i restarted the same level or just got put into a different level u know? I dont know if that was the whole point but that kinda felt a bit cooked cuz i couldnt use my prev knowledge to progress. Overall great game tho! lowkey u inspired me to try out making these rage type games.
I really liked the crowd yelling in the background lol. I’m so used to simple games sticking to 8-bit sounds, so that caught me off guard in a good way. It added a lot more energy than I expected.
The game is definitely hard, but that’s not always a bad thing. I think the main thing to look at is the progression curve. Depending on the kind of experience you want, it might help to introduce the mechanics in a more chill, “baby” version before ramping up the difficulty.
For example, you could probably
- Start the timer slower at the beginning and scale it up as the player completes a cycle
- Begin with just one money generator and one enemy so players can understand the loop more clearly
- Ease players in so dying on the first cycle doesn’t feel discouraging
That said, if the high difficulty is intentional, I think that’s totally valid too.
Also, I think the concept for the loop is pretty strong but could use some player clarity for example: first time playing i didn't realize that like u had to make $10 every cycle. so i thought i was just dieing for no reason and almost rage quit before realizing how the game loop works.
I think a way to help player clarity here is to maybe
- Show something like “1/10” on screen
- Add a visible progress bar
- Include a clearer UI indicator of how much is needed to survive the cycle
Regardless i hope this long message didn't feel like i was bashing ur game or anything, i enjoyed it and could tell u put a lot of time and effort into it so i thought it deserved a good review
The loop is soooooo good. Really enjoyed how simple and easy it was to understand and play.
I just wish it was easier to know when a crop was fully harvested from afar :(.
Also difficulty could use a bit of tuning but like as I tend to like harder games anyway. I feel like this is perfect for hard difficulty
Imma try and see if i can get the whole park with potatoes now lol
This is sooooo fire. The atmosphere matched the theme so well. I can tell u spent a great deal on the details ie zoom in on aiming with the rifle, the change of sprites as u rotate around some of the objects, the billboarding for the 2d objects in the scene, day and night cycle etc. And I fw the overall aesthetic, very reminiscent of DOOM.
Now with some feedback:
I think having the fixed horizontal camera takes away from the game a bit. For example, picking up seeds felt a lil weird because intuitively having anything on the ground makes you wanna look at it as u pick it up.
Walking speed felt kinda slow especially after comin back home from exploring. This feeling was multiplied by the fact that I'd get lost see a wall and then be like bruuuuuu i gotta walk all the way back :(((. I do kinda like the fact that u can get lost easily just wish there was a bit more hip in my step u know?
Other than that, this was super fireeeeee. I really liked that big rock that lowkey looks like the back of a gorilla.
game defo in my top 3
I love the simplicity of the game loop. I feel like once the auto collector was bought the game really started picking up.
I think the main things to improve is just UI and game feel. For example I do wish the price of the upgrades were easily seen instead of having to hover over every time.
I also wish like game feel wise that there was more when a plant gets collected.
overall, fire stuff.
Pretty wonderful stuff. First off, the background of the page and the webpage matching the games style is such a nice touch (howd u do that lol). The Ui design is easy to use and fire to look at. The overall progression of farming is easy to understand and the goals system works so well.
Sound design is fire. love the ambient music. The sfx that play for the goals are like perfect. The sound of the groaning mass scared the shit outta me lol.
lowkey the only thing i kinda didnt like and its super nit picky is that its sooo pink. like i kinda wish the floor was some other color so my eyes could take a break from it lol.
and that the controls were kinda cooked because i had to press escape to click on stuff but im guessing that may or may not be on purpose.
but other than that i think the games pretty great.
Also wat engine did u use?
Was lowkey scared i wouldn't be able to play wen I saw the description in another language
The progression of farming is nice and game has very nice overall polish
The music was soothing and pretty fire however it'd fade out to quiet for a low key long time and feel kinda ominous.
I think if the next track started a little sooner it wouldn't feel so like dead after a song was finished.
Fire Game overall
This game is fireee low key. Took me a while to get the hang of it as I didn't play the tutorial first but I really like the concept. I also really liked that you added timers as beating past times was super fun. From a players suggestion, I would make the oxygen go down just a tad bit slower as some parts are a little unforgiving but lowkey as a gamer I really fw that aspect of it.
