The Last Utopia. Heavily unfinished, and not released just yet.

(1 edit)

I started making this passion project with my friend in February when he thought of making a dystopian game.  So we kept brainstorming ideas and I kept on implementing them. He'd draw all the sprites, and I'd put them in the game. We continued to build upon this little project and, eventually, it started to take form. We're so close to finally releasing a demo of the game. This game is going to be the best one I've made yet, the one I'll be the most proud of. It's taken a while to get it to this point in development, but now, the only things I really have to focus on are purely quality of life improvements and polishing up the game a little bit.

I'm well aware of this, but thank you for your insight anyways.

That's a false positive, for more info go here: https://www.reddit.com/r/pygame/comments/oepnd4/why_does_everything_think_my_gam...

I'm not an expert on why this happens, but it's a well-known issue with PyInstaller, the Python module I converted the script to an .exe file with. I didn't create the module (nor did I make the Reddit post, just using it for reference), and I'm not willing to send my game to every single antivirus company just so it doesn't get detected by like 3 people's antiviruses. I'm not a famous developer, so I don't have much of a reason to do that. Sorry I didn't want to waste my time trying to get it cleared up by 400 antivirus companies, I guess. If you're still suspicious of this game, I understand your reasoning; you can't trust everyone on the internet, so it's no big deal. I would never hide malicious code; if you want to see the source code (which is a massive plate of spaghetti in terms of readability) then just ask for it.

Yes, there's a way to get the stick. There was much more content to the right of the house (which I unfortunately failed to clarify). Find a tall log right of the house (the house that closes the game if you sleep in the bed as a troll), interact with it with spacebar, and go through the dialogue. It should give you a stick. Sorry for intentionally making the game a bit confusing. I should have made an NPC clarify where to go. Oh yeah, I knew that was a bug right after release, the bed shouldn't give you a stick, and I forgot to patch it. I am so sorry for being such a jerk with my game design. At least I'm helping you out instead of ignoring you or saying you're wrong about the bug.

Isle of Resources, a short game made for Trijam #152, and for learning more as a developer, where you collect resources and upgrade your tool. However, you're limited to one item slot. Play it here: https://raizur-e.itch.io/isle-of-resources.

I know, the title could use some effort, but the game is currently only out for Windows. Please consider giving it a try, as I put a lot of effort into the game. To sum it up, it's a game where you talk to NPCs, and collect items, usually for trading or for exploration. Download the game here. Thank you for your time.
