What is the project?

Wolf Bride is a fantasy romance story created on Twine. The main character is sent out to the Lands of Forest and Night to be a sacrifice to the werewolves that live there. What she discovers is a court of the pack that lives there, and must now navigate her new life amidst the dangers of the woods, perilous politics and romance. Imagine, if you will, something that was literally made for #BookTok.

The game is made on Twine as an Interactive Romance Fiction. The writing is expected to finish by the end of 2025, with the prologue already being ready to publish in December 2025. The game itself will be published in four parts during 2026, with an epilogue chapter in December 2026.

This is an unpaid project for all contributors, with the possibility to be included in paid extra content (character-specific walkthrough, character cards and descriptions; a pdf-file); with the latter, the revenue is split equally between the people participating in that particular file.

Who am I and what, exactly, am I looking for?

I am the author of Said The Stars, a gamedev, and an artist. My previous story stands currently at 20,000 views on itchio, and for this project, I am looking to try to double that number.

I am looking for four writers, corresponding to the four Romantic Interests of the story, to do the following:

- Keep and create the lore of your assigned character

- Write out scenes designated for you

- Rewrite based on beta feedback

- Work in collaboration with me and the other writers in scenes featuring more than one character

You will be taking responsibility for one of the four romantic interests, their arc and their experience.

Who are you?

A writer who knows or at least is curious about the genres of romance and fantasy, who has passion for their craft and is open for editorial feedback. Ideally, your writing style would feature the kind of poetic precision fantasy as a genre greatly benefits from.

There are some requirements:

- You are over 18 (The game will feature erotic content)

- You are okay with the said erotic content (You do not have to write it if you do not have the experience or willingness, but you have to be okay with it)

- You are okay with polyamory (Every character offers a chance for some sort of polyamory; if you are against this, please do not apply)

- You have written anything romantic in your past which you can link to me (fanfiction, Twine games, episode stories)

That's strange - thank you for letting me know! Especially since I've been working on the next part, I should be able to fix this in the same update <3 Just need to take a look and see what's happening in those passages.

Sometimes literal drunk, sometimes figurative drunk! The newest part was written under heavy effects of caffeine and edited accordingly <3

Not at all! I'm grateful when people let me know there might be bugs or mistakes in the game. And hmm - it does sound like you are somehow playing the previous version? The version 0.48 ends there, but if you are playing version 0.49, you should be able to make it past that point.

The version 0.49 should be the one for browser plays, could you make sure you have the latest version? If that's not it, I'll look into it more!

Thank you for letting me know - some further questions, what was the uhh... did you manage to play to the "thank you for playing"-passage at the very end? Or where did the story "end" for you in the file you played in the browser?

Hello! Are you playing on a browser or have you downloaded the file? Also: what was your choice on your route for showing sexual content in the earlier chapters (choices being "no sexual content", "mentions of sex" or "explicit").

Oh dear, thank you for letting me know :D This is apparently what happens when you write four separate romantic paths in the course of 12 hours - I will fix this in the next update!

Hello! Thank you for letting me know - I discovered where the issue is, and just pushed a fix!

Bad news is, there is a chance that if you were playing an earlier save, you might have to play from the beginning of Chapter 3 to get the broken flags fixed :( I did, however, leave a shortcut to the spot where the Null Path occurred, so if it occurs again, clicking on the shortcut and playing from there should fix the flags!

Good news is... Weylin's route has been broken for some time at that exact spot, and thanks to your error message, I finally discovered where the error was. So thank you a lot, it should work now <3

Unfortunately there is currently no polycule route that would involve everyone at the same time! However, nobody will be mad at you in the game for the romantic options you pick - the characters in the story are your close friends, and have your best interests at heart, so they want to see you happy, no matter who you end up with <3

Thank you for the lovely comments! There's a new update out, and this chapter will actually end up in a scene which will feature a lot about what Ulrich route will bring <3 But that's still one (or more) update away!

Both are a possibility! The poly flag on Ulrich's route is an optional one, and the story will deepen either to poly or mono direction depending on which choice the player takes <3 The newest update is about Weylin/Sabina routes, but there will still be major Ulrich content before this current chapter is over.

Thank you very much for your comment! As a poly person myself, one of my biggest motivators for this game has been "I'll make my own food if nobody else will" - I do want it to be optional for people who aren't into it, but also fully tagged this poly for a reason 😄 trying to get next update out soon!

Hello! Thank you for providing a screenshot with this - it helped me identify where the problem was and it should be now fixed <3 Highly appreciated, and added a slight continuation to the current story as well! (Edited away a typo)

There will be more Weylin content in the next update - but hopefully the one I just posted will keep you going for some time!
