A nice little game. I really love the volcano model and its animation.
At some points, it was unclear where the volcano rocks were going so being strategic about my platform movement was difficult. You could fix this by adding a pointer thingy showing where they will land. I think making it a bit longer would be nice (High score game maybe?). Besides those two things I really like it.
Yeh, lots of people have suggested visual feedback and I’m working towards adding it. I had planned to add a smiling animation but the randomized sprites work by randomizing the animation at the beginning of the scene so that would make some dinosaurs appear with a smile which wouldn’t work. Thanks for the awesome and feedback and thanks for playing my buggy little game!
A nice addictive little game.
I like the eruption at the beginning of the game and the leaderboard was a nice touch. I really like how when lava or a fireball hit a cactus it felt nice and crunchy, something I found very satisfying.
I didn't find any "bugs" per se but I did find that using my mac the fireball controls felt unresponsive and almost random. I would also suggest adding some variation in the character jump sound as after a while it gets a tad annoying to hear.
Firstly, thanks for playing my buggy little game! I am definitely going to add some player feedback when the correct ingredient is placed (already on my to-do list). My game engine is Gdevelop which uses visual scripting and the checking sprite in the kettle event goes something like this (If *ingredient* was dropped by mouse and is in collision with mug add *number *). If the numbers added equal the randomized order number the tea is recognized as correct. So because of the way my code works I can't really control what *is in collision with* means so I think it's mostly a hitbox adjustment problem. Anyways, thanks so much for your available feedback.
Really cool game. My favorite part was probably the music, it was appropriately dramatic and intense. The lava was kinda static so I think it would be cool if it had an animation or something like that. The dinosaur hitbox didn't always work as sometimes I thought I was touching lava but didn't die. I also think you should add something displaying your high score so that the player doesn't have to remember it. overall a really fun little game!!!
Overall an addictive and fun game
The tutorial was helpful and after playing through it I was able to get a pretty long run. I wasn't watching my score and the game doesn't keep it in some sort of database which I think should be added. Placing blocks was crunchy and satisfying which I really enjoyed. The art was a bit rushed and inconsistent looking but overall a really great game!!
Sorry for the confusion, you're definitely not alone (whoops). Sadly I can't help with the confusion because I don't know what you are confused about (If you could reply to this message with a specific problem then hopefully I can help). You could also look through some of the comments and see if that helps. Thanks for the kind words about the art and aesthetic. And also many thanks for playing my buggy little game!!
This game was really fun but I'm not going to share my high score because it's embarrassingly low. I didn't really understand the rocks (Based on the comment before mine I assume the volcano can break them but I didn't know how). There was one glitch where I went off-screen (to the left) but I didn't die (even though my health bar was going down and then refilling weirdly). Because I didn't die I was able to go forever without even playing. I'm not sure if this is fixable (nor do I know if my explanation is easy to understand) but I thought id point it out just in case you can. Besides that the art is great (I love the retro filter) and I especially love the health bar.
Thanks for playing my buggy little game!! I was definitely thinking that there needed to be some more visual feedback when you add things, this idea kinda fell apart because I decided that you would just drag things into the mug (I didn't want things to be too busy) but maybe I will add this in a later update. Thank you for your feedback and thanks for playing my game (I know I already said this but twice for emphasis)
Great game, I love the awesome pixel art and great music :)
The tile sliding system was a bit difficult to understand and I think using my mouse to drag them would be easier to use. I wasn't able to get past the second level because of this but that's probably just me being bad at games. Besides the tile movement, the game is great.
Hey! I saw your comment on the game submission page and I'm sorry for the confusion, I didn't spend enough time on the instructions which led to bad communication on how to play. So you have to drag ingredients into the mug and then press the red arrow button which will take you back to the order desk scene. If you put in the correct ingredients it will add a point to your score (If the game decides to cooperate). I hope this helps and thanks for *trying* to play my buggy little game!!!

Firstly, thank you for playing my game. And thank you for the awesome feedback, I just started making games and this is exactly what I need. kinda put the page together quicker than I probably should have so thats why it didn't come across very clearly. I didn't have to much time to bug test or refine gameplay so *for now* the ingredients system works using addition so that when you add certain ingredients it adds certain numbers to the variable which if that equals the randomized order number, gives you a point. This system was buggy and didn't work very well but sadly I didn't have time to fine tune it. But again thanks for playing my buggy little game and I hope you have a good rest of your day!!
