Thank you, sir! Understandable on the whole reading part, especially in a jam hehe. But thank you!

WOW guys, this is really cool! The art is on another level, the music and SFX is just amazing (and using the voice for the character was a good choice), the gameplay loop (and the upgrades) is really, really good, and I just love that you guys named your wheel, "Wheel of fortune" (I did the same, hehe). The theme implementation is on point, the only way to win this game is to literally spin the wheel of fortune.
I died around enemy 8 (spent all my upgrades on attack points hehe), I have to go now, but I'll return later home and try to finish the game!
Honestly, I'm impressed, this one's special and I'm glad I found it here. GG's and keep makin' em.
Dude, I love Wanted too, glad to see another Wanted enjoyer in the wild! Honestly, you got a really interesting idea implemented here! The curved mechanic is quite innovative for a game jam. As Boomslam said, it is hard to use, but when you get it done the proper way, you really feel pretty accomplished lol. Good job mate, keep making them games and have a nice day!
I loved it! The whole vibe of it, the music, visuals, the game mechanics, the concept. It's quite cool! The only thing that I would add is that it would had been useful to have an npc system when only one player is playing (as I ended up playing for both players, and I liked player 1 more, so player 2 just had to lose, hehe). But great game overall, keep making 'em!
Hi everybody!
For this game jam, I went in a more peculiar direction and ended up writing a bunch of stories and lore for different encounters in my world. I put some serious time and soul into writing them; too much anyway, hehe. The core gameplay loop is nothing special, just FYI.
If anyone here is a fan of more narrative-heavy games (with some good character development towards the end) and would like to check out my stories, I would love to hear your feedback!
Looking back now, I would say the stories have a The Witcher kind of vibe, so maybe it's a good fit for people who enjoy dark-fantasy stories. Sometimes the writing is a bit lighter and almost comedic, so there's that too.
The stories that ended up being my favorites are some of the ones in the Bucifer Kingdoms, a few from the Empire of the Seven Swords, the pirate episode with Captain Ambrose, and the last two ones, as they provide the reader with some answers to their questions. I truly enjoyed making all of them, but I'm no writer, so don't take it too seriously! Honestly, I'm just curious if you guys end up liking any of them, and if so, which ones.
And I'll make sure to check out your games as well!
Thanks and keep making games, y'all!
Hello everybody, I've been working on this game for Juniper's game jam, and ended up writing quite a few stories for the game's events/ encounters (I would say they have sort of a The Witcher vibe). The gameplay loop is pretty simple, but I'm curious if anyone finds the stories enjoyable at all. Thank you and have a good day!

Thank you! There's for sure a lack of variety of items, I took too much time writing those stories, which resulted in having to start to drop functionalities of the game, because of time constraints. Initially, I wanted to have 3 type of events: the main bosses, events that give you items (decided by the wheel of fortune) and events that would give you status/ buffs etc. (again, decided by the wheel of fortune). And the plan was to make the items (potions, scrolls, books) and status effects feel as personalized as possible, but yeah, that did not happen in the end hehe. I couldn't even finish the 5 different endings functionality I had planned (one end right in the beginning, another one when you died, one when Baldy wins, and 2 more if you win - where you can choose to enforce the bet's terms or decide to let Baldy go free).
Thanks for playing my game!
Yep, I find your words to pretty much reflect what I've been thinking lately. A lot of hard work and little pieces of our soul (so to say) go on our creative endeavors, which a lot of times remain obscure and known mostly to us (even if people play it). I find the intimate relationship the creator has with its creation actually interesting, as I find myself nowadays in the role of the creator and not consumer. And not just the creating it part, but releasing it into the world as well. Even if it's just a silly little game, or story or any other medium of expression.
I agree with everything you've said, but that last paragraph is food for thought and I'll have to ruminate on it for a while. "Getting something out that would otherwise go unsaid" - thank you for sharing your insights.
I've just did a replay in 2 minutes, the music really is spot-on, it has a real cool vibe to it :D! I want to start making my own sounds as well, it looks like it's as fun as game development.
Unrelated, I found a new cool trick while replaying, if you are stuck in a step-object, you can slowly drag a new line under the ball and slowly raise it vertically. But by no means is this bad design or something, I actually enjoy it more like this as it allows to be a little bit creative and less frustrated hehe
P.S. regarding the start menu music, I actually got really excited when I've found it by mistake on freesound. I was like damn, this is the one lol. And the end music as well, which should had kept reverse looping until the credits end, but nope, the Web version refused to do as told hehehe. Actually, speaking of, I think I might have forgotten to credit the start one (even if it's cc0), I reckon I'll add it in a future build
Thank you very much for taking your time to play my little dialogue game (heh) and the time to write this really, really great review. Honestly, I'm going to save this one on my laptop and I'm probably going to revisit it when in need of some extra motivation while making games, especially on those days when the motivation feels nonexistent (which happens quite often).
Seriously though, I really do appreciate it. It wasn't the best day today but now it's a little bit better.
And who knows, maybe one day we'll both get to play each others games on Steam or something hehe.
Until we meet again,
Keep Making Games :D
YES! This is awesome. The art style is great, the music is amazing, the gameplay loop is addictive. What else should one want from a game jam game? In my books, this is the winner (and I've played some really nice games in this jam which I plan to play again the following days). But THIS right here, the theme is implemented perfectly and everything just works together as it should - chef's kiss. I'm really glad I've left this one as my last to play, so thank you.
Honestly, some future iteration of the game I would 100% buy it on Steam to play during those days where you just want to chill around and shoot the spaceship through the universe.
Great work!
Keep making games.
(heck yea, I'm bookmarking this)
Okay, I had some unexpected fun with this one, so thank you!
Projectiles work perfectly, the art is on point, music fits, honestly I really can't say anything badly about this. It feels professionally made, like maybe some little arcade game you would find inside another bigger game. The only thing missing (or I don't see it) is the theme, but oh well, who am I to complain about that lol.
Really good job, keep making games mister cowboy!
I like that it takes a little bit of practice to master to movement and once you do, well the game gets more fun. SFX sounds on point, the same with the art. And I think that the AI doesn't really pursue you, but instead you are the hunter lol, a different take on the old trope.
Anyways, this is cool, GGs and keep making games!
Oh wow, thanks for this. This feels like a breath of fresh air in the sense that I think this is the most creative game in this jam. Like really great job sir with the mechanics, art and music.
I do subscribe to what Phyrocast is saying, basically you can beat the game by drawing a straight line under the ball and then just push it from behind with another line.
But thank you for this, I had a good time playing your game! I just love your creativity.
GG and keep making games!
Hello, I love the atmosphere, visuals. the music and frankly the whole feel of your game. Just love them, I felt like in The Martian for some reason, all alone and trying to survive and explore the unknown.
From what I've read from the description, the mechanics seem to be pretty clever as well, but I couldn't figure out exactly what to do with the crystals or how to install stuff or use energy.
Nevertheless, thank you for this experience!
Firstly, a big congratulations on your first game jam man!!
Secondly, the music goddamn, it hits hard hehe. I'm still vibin' to it while writing this review.
Thirdly, I really like your implementation of the theme. Great execution of it!
Just an FYI you can shoot the ball out of the map (I think left wall somewhere you are missing a collision wall).
Anyways, great job and KEEP MAKING GAMES :D
