I'm sorry, but I don't support this game anymore. However, try pressing ESC 5-10 times when you start the game and that might fix it. Once you start playing again, your next load shouldn't have the same issue.

I've changed my development set-up since I released it and I'm not sure how easily I can set things up to work on and deploy The Quiet Sleep again. Ah, I'm really not sure what that is. It might be a Linux thing. I don't really have a way to make a new build for that right now. I'm sorry.

Honestly, I'm really not sure what that might be and it's been a long time since I worked on the game, so I have no ideas off the top of my head. Try pressing the 1 and 2 keys as that might be able to reset the game speed. If that doesn't work, try pressing ESC 4 or 5 times and then try unpausing again. There might be some hidden menu that's keeping the game paused.
