Great Framework

I had a lot of fun with this one. I like the idea, mostly because I love basketball. I like the systems you have in place here, even the ones that aren't fully implemented yet (like increasing Friendship when making an assist). I think people might tell you to shy away from the basketball concept but I've always viewed basketball kind of like chess in motion, with the pieces as players, and this game personifies that. Obvious complaint is that it takes a while to figure out how to do just about anything, and I'm still not sure how all of the systems work together (what does strength do? Just used to decide whether a player can use muscle out or not?). Additionally, probably because of this lack of understanding, the game is incredibly difficult. I managed to win the first round once and it was pretty flukey. I did have one crash but I wasn't able to copy it, my bad.

edit: Alright after a good bit of additional playtime I was able to beat a boss match, mostly exclusively through Bud's set shot and Al running point. The game is a lot of fun, but the abilities range from what feels like useless to extremely good. As a result, like many rogue-likes/lites, randomness plays a good part in how your run goes. I'll come back and play some more for sure.

I'm glad you had fun with it! I look forward to talking more with you about it. I'm also looking forward to trying out Why Do Boys Play Games?
