It's back!!

The plot and characters are what I love most about this game. There are distinct personalities, but not overdone. It has enough realism in the dialogue to help immerse you in the fantasy, and there are lots of interesting quests as well as a big finale (or many of them, depending on how you look at it) and then an aftergame that's a decent game in its own right! The quests are fun and novel enough to stay interesting.
One humorous note, I didn't quite get it at the beginning when I changed Mary's name to my wife's name and the game asked "Who is she to you?" I put wife and when it asked who are you to her, I put husband. Later, when she said something line "I want to do things with you a WIFE should NEVER do with her HUSBAND!" The light clicked on and I got it. I don't think I've ever played a game with this particular fantasy, and I applaud that Siren wrote it like this. It's very well done, and there is a lot of originality here. So I changed her name to what it seemed would fit, and the game said "I understand" and it customized the dialogue to that fantasy!!
Originality in an RPG is hard to find because tens of thousands of RPGs have been written. Quality can be hard to find as well because it takes a lot of time, effort and energy to code these--I tried once, but I don't have enough time, so I am grateful to those who do. Thank you, Siren, for one of the greatest RPG maker games I've played, and I have played hundreds.
I loved Town of Passion (ToP) and though I've barely gotten into Kingdom of Passion, I already got a couple big laughs and the first puzzle was both unique and challenging. Usually RPG maker puzzles are just pushing rocks and boulders, but this one required more strategic thinking as you had to line up reflectors. Also, I like that sometimes you can shoot enemies now, but they didn't do completely away with ones you can only sneak past. This game seems to keep the best of ToP and add some very substantial improvements.
The women's bodies in ToP were cartoonishly exaggerated (not a criticism, it's part of the fantasy) but in this one they're quite a bit more exaggerated, in some cases it's too much for my tastes, but if you like that then this is perfect for you...so far. :-) However, given the quality of Siren's previous work on ToP, wherein the game was so good, the aftergame was better than 99% of RPG Maker games, I have very high expectations from them.
Is there any way to fix this later in the game? I've been playing for a few hours with just the music, but I'd like to hear the sound without starting over.
I signed up for a subscriber account and installed 0.8.02b. That didn't help. When I loaded a saved game--still no sound but static. If I start a new game, there's no static after the portal animation, but there's no sound, either.
OK, there are a great many terrific aspects to this game, but I'm not sure I understand the point of blindsiding the player with vicious, violent murder of a character that was just introduced. I can understand that with RPG elements characters must fight and there may be deaths, but for me, the gratuitous, bloody murder of an innocent destroys the eroticism and tone of the game.
I don't like to criticize something people obviously put a lot of hard work into, but I figured I should post my feedback in case there could be other players who feel this way.
I keep failing to complete tasks because I didn't know they were expiring, I think I just need to go back and re-play, paying close attention to the log, but it seems like you go out in the morning, do 2 maybe 3 things and it's night. I'd love an easy/story mode where you choose when to end the day or at least get to do more things in a day.
Also I have trouble with the minigames due to medical issues that interfere with my coordination, is there any way to skip them?
I don't really understand the inner conflict system. Do the icons on the character menu mean conflicts I've helped resolve? Is it a good thing? Also, on the same menu, what is the end result of the slider (for example, stability/experiments) for Rose? I mean just in general--will it affect the outcome of the game a lot? BTW, this is the best game I've played in a while. It's so well made that while it's not the type of game I usually like, I love it. You have put a LOT of time, energy and love into this game, and it shows!!
OK, so what I did is searched my system and found the file referenced:

So I copied all three folders into the Paradise Trail\www\img folder, and merged them with the existing ones.
Progress! I was able to save! But when I load the game, it shows saves from both The Singing Scar and Paradise Trail:
If I try to load the saves from The Singing Scar (Singalin) of course it fails with a map load error.
EDIT:
I tried it on a different computer (same OS) and I can't replicate the problem, so somehow this is happening on my end. I do have an older game and that game does have the files being referenced in the errors--I believe the load feature is somehow looking in the wrong location for the saved game, and trying to load a saved game from an older game.
Edit 2:
OK, this is driving me nuts. I install the game into a new folder. I run the game, select my options, and when I have the option to recruit, I choose to save the game. I can't save, it gives me this error. It makes no sense. Why would the save feature even be looking for a graphic, let alone a graphic from a completely different game? I'm guessing there is some errant registry setting or something, but I'm not finding it.
