Deep Space Freight is a homebrew game color game inspired by classic economy trading games from yesteryear. 

You start with a small loan and a  space-worthy freight truck, you must buy low, travel, and sell high, and avoid perils -- and welcome gifts along the way. Every time you travel, a new turn starts with new pricing at a new location. Randomized events can see you robbed, gifted cargo space, or experiencing a cargo fire, and more. How much can you make before your time's up?

Many emulation based homebrew cabinests rely on retropie or batocera to run, and there is an increasing amount of retro developers creating new runnable ROMS on these classic systems. It looks like megadrive games may be around the corner in the niche indie market with md engine.

Enemies can be strategically poisoned to prevent their healing!

The main struggle with starting these types of games is learning the price range of different items. I don't want to post a list and spoil all the fun of learning but I will drop a hint for you:

Buy ore when its closer to $11-$12, should be profitable and cannot burn in a cargo fire.

I did make the sounds in fx hammer, most of them are in my sfx1 pack for anyone to use in their games. Music was a bit tricky I can't lie.. 🤠
