Just noticed there's a community tab 😅

Just wanted to share my most recent post here on itch.io (another free set, gaming-themed 🎮)

This set contains lots of gaming-related stuff (game consoles, PC cases, monitors / TVs, some furniture, some headsets, etc..), low-poly style with flat colors (and I think 16x16 or 24x24 pixels palette, I never remember which one is the one I use, since I changed it months ago hm).

As of now, the set contains 100+ models. You can also check my other sets (you'll end up with like 600+ or so models 😂)

As always I'm open to suggestions/feedback/whatever, I encourage critics of all kinds 👍

This will be the last set I make before temporarily switching to paid content (supporter sets for current free ones, as well as a bigger paid only new set). I may still finish and release an older set (containing customizable cars, with interior, removable parts, as well as some tuning pieces.. so far 2 cars were made out of 3, but textures aren't there yet sadly)

(Feel free to follow me on Twitter/Discord in order to stay up to date with new sets I make)

(Just updated in case you wanna check it out pal 👌)

Glad to hear that pal! I still suggest you to wait for 1 or 2 more days since I'm about to release a new version of this set containing a new palette format matching my other sets as well as some fixes and a few new building pieces (if you're using Blender then there's no prob since you can just place the new ones, if you're a Unity user then you should also notice no problem since I'm only updating textures and models, prefabs too but those have the same reference as the old ones, nothing should break when updating)

👍👍

You need the closest one due to the palette being that small (consider that it's mostly one pixel per face, if you don't go for closest you'll get weird shading results). There are other things to change to get the actual colors to show how they should.

Anyway, glad to see it worked! I would like to know if you previously experienced similar issues with other sets of models made by other people (featuring one pixel per color palette, FBX and OBJ formats), since I'm still trying to figure out what the problem is.

Also, if you ever use my models in your final game (or WIP project), pls share it here so I can see, always happy when someone uses my stuff on their projects!

I'm again trying to address this issue prior to releasing or updating future sets (so far I provided a small troubleshooting img, as well as alternative formats). If you want you can show me what kind of errors you're getting via discord (or mail, or twitter, I don't mind), so I can take a look!

Glad I was able to help pal! If you found the asset useful, feel free to rate it!

First of all, appreciate the words pal!

So, I've experienced issues with blender many times in the past (when importing my own models), can you maybe send me an image on discord so I can check it? Will dig into it later on since I'm in the process of updating other sets as well (so would be cool if I was able to fix the issue now and maybe apply the fix to the rest too).

The issue regarding the missing textures, what texture is exactly missing? Due to the way I manage files for every set, I have a blender folder for each, along with a separate export folder (with every subfolder you see inside the zip), I try to copy files from one place to another, sometimes in a clean way depending the case, maybe I somehow missed a texture?

Thanks again, specially for telling me about the issue so I can work on it asap pal! if you prefer you can also send me the image (or just more detailed info) to my email or twitter. (just in case you don't use discord at all)

Cool, remember suggestions of all kinds are welcome, so if you disliked something or if you expected something else then feel free to tell me, I maybe can update the set in order to make it better!

As stated in the original post:

You're welcome to use any of the models in this pack on any commercial or non-commercial project, and there's no need for you to ask for any kind of permission. Yet, you have no permission to re-sell the models as a part of any asset pack or on their own.

Credits are always welcome, of course, feel free to also show me pics or links of anything you made using them!

That being said, it's all under creative commons 4.0 (you're free to use my sets, just don't re-release sets including my work, you can still use it to create stuff freely, anything from comments and ratings to suggestions and donations is always welcome).

Appreciate the word friend! As always I'm still open to suggestions for new themes, I'm now taking Synty as a reference (would like my assets to be compatible in terms of style and measurements/proportions).

If you ever use any of my sets for any type of game, let me know so I can look at the game or project 👍

I've just released my final 2021 free model set, a Xmas Mini-Set!

This set contains mostly what you see on screen (note that part of it comes from my other free Home set, which is NOT contained within this set, so stuff such as the paintings, rug, walls and lamp, are not included, if you want those then you'll have to also download the home set separately).

You'll find some different presents, decoration stuff, some toys, pine trees (with and without snow), along with some other stuff. This is a mini-set, it's designed to be smaller than others in terms of content.

Hope you like it, and if you find it useful, then feel free to support me by leaving suggestions, a rating, comment or donation.

Discord Server I just made 2 weeks agohttps://discord.gg/nRQeuVUJQG

You totally can friend (I would need to test on which version, the one I used to export the package is the 2021.1 one and as far as I can tell, I didn't use any strictly 2021 feature, so should work on most prev versions too from 2020 or even 19)

Make sure to obviously try the unitypackage option friend! And feel free to tell me about your experience using it later on (be that a good or bad one, everything helps).

With 220+ Prefabs for Unity and 290+ Models, I present you my third model set and the biggest one so far!

A Home-Themed pack containing all kind of modular furniture to create your own house!

Download Link: https://vnbp.itch.io/low-poly-home-set

Side Note:

If you don't use Unity, you'll have to manually accommodate stuff such as drawers all in place, I don't like to clone the same model, it's not performance-friendly, it's still pretty easy and pivot is always set up correctly, all ready for you to easily position and animate doors, wheels, that gaming chair.. etc

Now if you do use Unity, just choose the unitypackage option, that way you'll avoid wasting time setting up things manually!

This is a completely free set. Feedback of any kind is always welcome and always of help!

I know, a friend also commented me the same (couldn't even make a simple options menu for people to change it there), thanks for playing bud!

In case anyone is wondering:

-AWSD to move, L Shift to sprint, R or Right Click to reload, L click to shoot (just to clarify things a bit)

Thanks for the feedback friend, really appreciated it!

I'll try to address these problems asap, the scrolling speed is the default one (the one every scroll-able panel has by default in Unity), so sure I'll change it so one can properly scroll things down/up rather than drag and drop.

Regarding the alpha notes section (notas de alpha, or notas de alfa, or notas de version temprana de pruebas in Spanish) is not one pointing up updates nor any type of changelog but actually just a note regarding the overall alpha status of the game, most of the text, the entire thing actually, is just static text left there in case someone who liked the game enough, and with too much free time, wanna read it, I'll later change it into a short one page one, and will also change the static tutorial for an interactive mini-match.

I'll look into the <color> one for sure, according to what you said, I understand you found it in the description (inside the panel showed after hovering over an upgrade called something like "tool upgrade"), is that correct? Just so I can easily locate the issue.

The Oda clan features a different kind of gameplay, early on units are weaker for sure compared to Roman ones, but the spearmen are faster to move and train. I'll still look into balancing them more. And will also look into showing a progress bar within the actual main UI rather than only over the 3D model.

As said before, feel free to point up any other issue you found, suggestions of any kind are welcome too, and same goes to the Spanish version (if you found it wrong or less natural for example, and know about cool changes to make it better, feel free to tell me, same goes for English too).

Thanks again friend!

(1 edit)

Battle of Ages is an arcade-ish strategy game inspired by Age of War and other titles alike.

Select a faction (currently only Romans are available) to play, and one to go against, train soldiers, upgrade buildings in order to gather more resources, research new units and upgrade already existing ones, conquer camps to get closer to the enemy base and finally destroy them!

Note: This is not my first time coding or modeling, but my first time making some project public, I'm excited as hell and want to finally finish some project I'm making for others to play it. Every 3D asset you see as of now was made entirely by me from scratch in Blender, along with some other stuff around, you'll find the credits to music and icons used in-game in the credits submenu.

Note that the game is in a serious pre-alpha state, and a lot of work is needed, I'm still working on fixing some bugs and improve upon what the ones who already played told me (you may find missing options in the resolution dropdown, and the AI too hard to beat, for example, despite it not cheating, literally, it only spams units which is a sign of an unbalancing gameplay design so far).

Battle of Ages is also my first public project so far, and I'm counting on any kind of feedback. If you would like to see mechanics, upgrades, new factions, etc.. feel free to suggest me ideas on what to add, change or remove, I would highly appreciate that!

I'm currently planning on fixing some bugs, improving some things regarding the UI (for example, to this day people get confused about what does the "Allow" toggle does, it prevents units from holding on in the camp position lol).

The game will be later ported to Android, and I also plan to get cross-platform multiplayer so you can fight against some user rather than a (as of now) dumb-yet-pretty-good-? AI. It will also be always fully free for everyone with no paid content anywhere to be seen.

Some of the next big changes I'll be working on in the upcoming weeks are:

  • Rebalancing the Roman faction, and adding them a new building level too along with more upgrades and units (assets are already done for 3/4 of this and the next faction to come)
  • Add a new Japanese faction (The Oda Clan), introducing Japanese spearmen, cool archers and samurais. (these two factions will both feature 5 buildings in total)
  • Add a new Japanese-themed map, maybe using Unity Terrain tool, not entirely sure how well will it fit since it wouldn't be low poly at all unless I add shaders to it too lol.
  • Language localization (being Spanish, my first and main language, the first one to get implemented besides the current eng default one)
  • I'll be relying a lot on every comment and suggestion people make. Everything here is subject to change. I would love to add as many factions as possible from different time eras, such as WW USA, WW2 Germany, or some Geth-like advanced AI futuristic faction.

--> Play the in-dev alpha here! <--

(Don't forget to leave a comment suggesting changes, ideas, or just feedback in general!)

Thanks in advance people, have a good day!

Played the game on Android for two days so far (like 60 in game days or so in total) and must admit I like it. It's a cool game overall. I really like the characters, art style is really pretty, story is cool so far (I still wasn't able to get the entire thing, to me it's more like one of those non linear games looped daily, rather than just a VN with many routes).

My fav Char so far was Violet, I didn't finish her route due to not being into any weird fetish (still like the fetishes part, I just don't play them, but like to see them I guess). I wanted a more "friendly approach" but seems like I've just failed lol

I'd also love to see the main char act in a more assertive way, but guess that's how the char is. Would also like more typical sim aspects (more stats, more jobs, more ways to do everything, more management, etc..)

It's a honest 7/10 game to me, and I'm sure it'll get better later, so I'm just judging in advance to what I've already seen hah

If you ever plan implementing localization to support other languages, I'd love to be in charge of the Latin American Spanish one (I'm an indie free translator from Argentina). Would be cool to find some project to work on, so feel free to pm me, via Discord or just mail in case you ever get interested.

Will be redownloading the game again some versions later, to avoid running out of content easily, and so I can compare it again, nicely done people!

Maybe I just missed it (still, I did check the itch.io profile along with the page without noticing it). There's a lot of work behind translations, from context related stuff, to slangs, expressions and research in order to provide an accurate translation (one's translating an idea, not just some text, one must try to communicate that idea).

I'm not into social media at all (specially Twitter), that's why I jumped to some direct contact through email. Anyway, feel free to consider it later, and take into consideration both spanish languages and not jsut the one from Spain (Latin American along with European one, people tend to think that both are equally understandable when they're still really different in terms of vocabulary and mostly expression). Luck again with the game!

Hi, I'm Leo, an indie translator from Argentina. Just discovered the game thanks to Steam (from the Tyranno official Completed Games thread) and wanted to know if you plan releasing it later featuring localization/multiple languages, something that should already be supported natively by Tyranno, not sure at all.

Anyway, just played the demo (part of it) and so far enjoyed it, the art is pretty, and animations look really cool comparing to most other VNs which normally feature static UI only. If you plan to translate it to multiple languages, I would like to be the one in charge of the Latin American Spanish translation. If you want to discuss about it, feel free to mail me to vnb.prods@gmail.com (there is no price to discuss since I translate for free).

Wanted to reach you by email, but didn't find any mail here or in steam, and since both Itchio and Steam apparently don't feature pm to non-friends, I had to comment it here :|

Anyway, thanks in advance, and luck with any other future project!
