Perfect! Thank you

60 Minutes - #5 community · Created a new topic Jam length

Hey! We're a team of two that loves making games fast and is interesting in joining! Your jam length is 4 days long. Do we just complete the 60 minute jam at any point during the 4 days? Or do we need to start as the theme is released?

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it!

Dang unfortunate that we missed the big. Glad you liked it though!

Thank you! So glad that you liked it!

hehe fire :) Glad you liked it!

We really appreciate it! Glad that you enjoyed it!

Thank you so much! Hopefully they were as satisfying to solve as they were to make!

There's obviously a lot of thought that went into this, I love the concept! Unfortunately I got way information overloaded at the beginning and so I really didn't know what was happening. Well built though!

These kind of role-reversal games are always so cool to me. The mechanics here are dope! The enemies were a bit tough, but I think with some more time and balancing you could really build this out into something pretty cool.

Fun game, I really like these kinds of games where you have to keep retrying and getting more powerful. The boss fight just was a little off-putting because even though I knew exactly what I wanted to do, it always felt like that last weak spot was on the opposite side, and I couldn't get to it before it disappeared. But overall the vibes are on point, it feels really good to play, solid submission!

Solid entry! I really liked this game! Took me a death to figure out what "arm upgrade" meant and how to effectively fight with my lil crabs, but once I did it clicked and I beat it pretty easy! I love the art and the feel of the game loop. Nice work.

Solid proof of concept, I like the direction! Finding items was a little tedious, other than spam-clicking, I wasn't sure what to look for, but overall this has the bones of a good game!

Hey! We had a lot of fun making our game for this jam - we're really proud of it and would love for you to try it out.

We're trying to rate as many games as possible in return, so post yours below!

And, if you like game dev video content, check us out on Youtube as well!

Thank you so much! Love to hear that you enjoyed it!

Dang sorry to hear that, we didn't catch that bug, but glad you were able to have fun anyway!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

This is an incredible game! Fun concept, great execution, pretty intuitive, I love it. The only thing I would have done is either some way to run the program at 2x speed or have some kind of distance visualization so that when I am 1 unit off (like I was a lot lol), there's less guess-and-check. Overall though, love it, great contender for placing highly.

YES. I love this! Bad Piggies was one of my favorite games, and this totally captures the essence of that. Took me a little while to figure out the edit mode (and I kept running into an issue where it would create like 10 edit menus at once?) but once I did, it was so much fun. The levels were good, and you know I had to send that sucker into the stratosphere on the last one.

Although I couldn't quite figure out what the goal is, I think the vibe is absolutely on point. The art and interactions are well polished and have the makings of a really cool game. I like it!

Very clever! I really like the challenge of having to send things around to different layers, it creates a really cool logistics challenge and there was obviously a lot of thought and design put into this. It did take me a while to figure out what exactly my goal was, but other than that, very solid.

Got 900m before things went crazy haha, not too bad I think. I LOVE the design of this game! The art, the music the sound fx, all on point! Super vibey, y'all nailed it. The gameplay loop is intuitive and has enough variety to be interesting while giving you a chance to improve. No notes.

Haha, I love the vibe of these kinds of games. I couldn't figure out what to do with pianos 2 and 3, I tried playing the note on the sign as the missing note for each but it didn't seem to do anything? Not that I REALLY DESPERATELY WANT piano teacher devil daddy to chase me or anything, but...

Made it to the bottom! Nice interpretation of the theme, and a solid first game jam entry. I would have liked to see more variation in what you do to complete tasks, but other than that, solid game overall!

Wow, this is an insane first game jam entry! So much content!

Solid game! Good design and execution. The one thing was that the player movement was pretty abrupt and slippery, although that might just be because I'm on a high refresh rate monitor and it's animated per-frame. Overall, solid first game jam entry, nice work!

I really like this! It's very charming. Also crazy impressive for a first game jam, there's a good amount of content in here! Nice work! Definitely did notice some bugs like being able to pick up infinite keys and spam-shredding papers, but nothing game breaking. Good stuff.

I love the vibes of it! The pixel art is on point and I think there's the makings of a solid game here. I think having the restart be quicker would improve the experience, cause creeping off the branch feels like it takes almost as long as flying. Overall though, solid first game jam submission!

Cool game! I've never really gotten into games like this and unfortunately I got stuck in Joslyn's room and couldn't find what I was looking for, so I wasn't able to make it to the end, but overall I enjoyed it!

Fun twist on the genre! I like the visualization of additional lives, that's creative. I think a consistent art style and generally not using mixed pixel sizes would boost the visuals, but the vibes are there! Solid first submission!

Very fun concept! I got pretty hooked and played all the way through, I think there's something here. I liked the chaos of it, although it was so fast paced that I didn't feel like I had much of a chance to win. But I think the idea of having so much chaos is a very interesting mechanic! Good submission overall!

Love the feedback. There's definitely quite the need for balancing at the end. We made the progression a bit to ambitious for the game jam and didn't quite dial it in before the submission deadline. Thanks for playing!

Well done! It's simple but done well. I think the concept of getting allies that add benefits to the boss fight. Some more variation during the boss would have been nice, but it's obviously understandable for being a game jam game! Great job

Very nice! Simple, but a nice choose your own adventure style game! Some of the text FX were cool and the sounds were well chosen. More variety in the story and choices would have been cool, but good job!

Wonderfully done! The Sound design and music really tied everything together nicely! I love the fun twist on "Papers, please." Great job!

Dang. Absolutely stunning. Wonderful job. Simple and perfectly in line with the theme

I enjoyed this immensely! I was surprised by how much i enjoyed the hybrid art style. It was simple but a fun concept that felt manageable! Well done!

I enjoyed the playthrough! I was particularly impressed with the multiple different types of boss attacks! The drastic differences in the art styles was a little bit rough, but some of the elements were cool. Overall fun experience!
