It's cool. I like how the blocks are not perfect cubes. Felt bad soothing the cute monsters. Found a bell and rang it.

Cool game. The guns feel good and I like the enemy designs. I got stuck on the second level (the third skull) where there's a cave full of those 4 legged monsters and a hanged guy. I couldn't make the jump over the canyon at the top so I got filtered. Are there enemies that can ride along your boat? Sea fights would be cool.
Nice game.
I'm a bit late to the party as I've been busy with my own game, but I've liked your earlier submission so I decide to give this a go.
I like the shopkeepers. It would be awesome if the guards had some kind of a morale or happiness value and that they could just walk out on you if you didn't give them food/healed them (or one of them could try to turn against you and you had to kill him with other guards).
A great idea and potential, especially with the random events. Nice to see you back in game dev.
I got a bit lost. A map would have helped but I did manage to find my way back to the cabin. Also it would have been nice to get one or two recipes to start with. But if trying different combinations is the main mechanic then I get that. Also I think there's too much text. I wasn't sure what was the goal other than trying mixing stuff in the cauldron. I did find the fisherman but couldn't find bait for him.
I understand the game takes place in a forest but I think a bit more recognizable areas, signs or one of a kind rock or a tree etc. would have helped with the the navigating
I think the game looks nice and I like the calmness.
Even as the graphics are rather simple, the game still manages to look rather good. The small messages (good, great...) are really nice and encouraging and it's great that the voice changes depending on the character (the first girl is my favorite).
But the first level/the tutorial level is way too hard for me. I got filtered pretty hard ngl. I don't think it's 100% the game's fault but I could have used more checkpoints.
It's fun and feels already rather polished.
A lot of soul. I honestly really liked this game, especially how story driven it feels. I accidentally skipped the tutorial but found my way just be clicking everything.
I got a game over because I felt out of popularity or the public relation got really low, I think. Managing that was a bit confusing, I kept failing (I think) the aurora mission because of too many accidents and that got me a really bad reputation. Not sure how to manage that other than taking missions? Also I was a bit confused what to press when planning the expedition, not sure what should I have been pressing.
I did not manage to get a new hull nor did I travel to the moon. The gameplay loop of taking secondary missions and waiting for research to get done ended up feeling a bit repetitive after couple rounds. I'm not sure if did I miss something though. I really liked the story events though and I'm sure you have more planned on that department.
The game has a lot of characters and I'm not sure who they are or who am I really? I would have liked an assistant character for hand holding but then again I like how light the hierarchy seems, like all those characters felt more like my friends than minions.
Again, I really liked this game and that it has characters and that's it's heavy on the story. It brings something new to this kind of strategy genre, at least for me. Good stuff. Looking forward to updates.
Extremely cute and graphically polished. The main character is charming. I really like the small Japanese town aesthetic with cute creatures. It's also cool that the early demo already had different costumes.
There's a rather long delay from walk to run when you start holding shift. It can also be a mechanic, but personally I would have liked it to be more a faster change. Otherwise the movement was alright.
Cute game.
Thank you for playing!
You just missed the demo version update I pushed to itch.io. I remade the puzzles but kept the original puzzle as an optional bonus challenge (the entrance to it is a bit hidden on purpose).
The tone and the setting are both considered decisions. I like them but I understand there can be critics.
The combat is still in early development but I'm glad it got you intrigued.
I'm glad to read you're looking forward to this game!
Sorry for being a bit vague. Yes on full throttle. But what I meant is that I would have liked it a bit more action heavy. But I just realized it's a biplane and not a fighter jet lol so my bad man. It's a bit bare bones but I totally understand because it's still an early demo. Maybe it felt cool enough that I kept wanting more. Like it got me a bit on the hook and I wished more back in my brain. It's promising so hope you dev more.
For some reason this has a lot of charm to it. The music is great and fitting. The grey graphics are enough but I still wish I saw those colorful liveforms you have on your cover pic. Not sure if this is completed or are you planning to add something to it? Obviously gets a bit boring rather quick but I like the effort.
Thank you! Man you really brought a smile on my face when you mentioned From Dream. So neat that someone remembered it. I actually made a game between this and From Dream called Midnight Search but never polished/completed the final level(s) so I never published it.
Thanks for the feedback and bug info. So you didn't get to use the hookrope on the ceiling? Well you didn't miss much in that case. It just had an ending screen thanking the player and a character sprite (the same girl that is on the cover).
There seems to be bugs on the saving... it was one of the last things I implemented before the demo so not a big surprise there. That's still weird, it should make a new safe file every time you close and open the game again. The file can be deleted (or edited) manually, on windows it's on %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\virus_brain and on linux ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/virus_brain.
Yeah I have already decide to make another type of puzzle for those computers. Happy that you managed to brute force it.
Downloaded it, still dropped but the floor somehow managed to catch me lol. Cute litle game. I saw your post on /agdg/ earlier telling you need to guide others to play but I found it pretty intuitive. I didn't even reqognize the how to make coffee sign until I had already served a few cups. But the labels saying the "pitcher is empty" and "milk needs to be skimmed" helped a lot though. But I think all those tips are still essential there. The gameplay was pretty simple but this an early demo.
Lol, damn, maybe it was a bit too hard.
It's a columnar transposition cipher; it requires you to shift the letter columns and the most top row is the key.
Unscrambled it looks like this:
K E Y
H A P
P Y C
And the columns are then shifted according to the alphabetical order of the letters in the keyword (in this case KEY becomes EKY).
Here's the puzzle again:
E K Y
A H P
Y P C
And thus the answer is HAPPY(C). C is a null character added just to fill the column.
It has a bit of a Lynchian vibe which I like. Overall nice graphics. The game crashed when I was in storage and tried F on the keypad. I managed to get the ladder down and as soon as I climbed it the game ended or crashed? It's a bit clunky but maybe that's part of the appeal. Thanks for the upload.
