Thank you! Well, I was playing always from left to right, but now I'm convinced that it should be played like a staircase (first floor=left to right, second floor=right to left, third floor=left to right). I played once placing the first card in the middle of the second floor, for convenience. But it felt like cheating.

I have another one, sorry :) The correct way to play is by placing the cards in the fort in order from left to right, or can I place them anywhere on the floor I'm on?

Understood. I was assuming it was because the 4 pools of 1 but didn't figure out why it was upside down. Now it's clear. Thanks!

Hi, Alfred! I didn't understand why there are 4 columns of 1 resolve upside down on the front hero card. Am I missing something here? Why they are upside down?

Amazing job! I've played it a lot and even tweaked it a little bit. For example, to me, it makes more sense having 2 chances of encountering weak monsters cause they're more common than the tough ones. So I put the gnomish tinkerer encounter as a chance in "go foraging". On trails, I receive 1 point if I roll a six (three trails). That makes the quarterstaff more interesting.

Is this based on Orbit Link skirmish game from https://donniedynamo.itch.io/?

thank you for this incredible idea!

This is a hack of a compact adaptation by Norman Eschenfelder (https://eschenfelder.itch.io/dark-fort-mini) of the original DARK FORT solo/micro game by Pelle Nilsson.

To play you will need the printed game, a pencil and a six-sided die (but if you have 3d6s, even better).

The printed game fits on an A4 and still leaves plenty of space where you can draw your dungeon and keep track of your status as Kargunt.

If you're familiar with Dark Fort, you're right at home. But be prepared, making Kargunt a legend won't be easy.

DARK FORT Simplex Mod is an independent production by Marcelo Abdalla (ultramorph) and is not affiliated with Ockult Örtmästare Games or Stockholm Kartell. It is published under the MÖRK BORG Third Party License. MÖRK BORG is copyright Ockult Örtmästare Games and Stockholm Kartell.

Great! Thank you very much! It's on https://ultramorph.itch.io/dark-fort-simplex-mod

Nice! Would you mind if I hack it, create another version and post it on itch.io, mentioning that it was based on your work (hyperlinked)?

amazing compact version!

Oh, sure! Thank you!

I'm too dumb. I didn't understand why the colored dice rolls (red, green, blue). Can you clarify, please?

(1 edit)

OK, I managed to get up there and all I got was a blue screen memory error that seems to be part of the game.

TDG, please, clarify your last answer. By "first" what do you mean?

hahaha

the first means the first item you point out or the first thing you asked in your last question? Im confused.

Oh now I see. That´s a nice touch, Thank you very much!

Hi, about that status on the character sheet (fast, clever, etc), how do they work? And what about those 4 squares marked at the bottom of theses status for each type os character?

Hi! Thanks for this game! Just to be sure, does the BLESSED status apply only to that leather vest? I don't know if I understood it correctly.

thanks again for the opportunity!

Ow, nice! I didn't play it yet, but I'm already in love with your game.

I think these paper miniatures are cool: https://macchina-luctus.itch.io/pds-paper-miniatures

Beautiful work, as usual! The only thing I would add is when I get the mixed result, the process would be repeated only on the next turn.

You manage to recreate the tension and ambiance of the movie. Excellent job, man!

I see some capoeira dancing lights

I really felt like I was in a nightmare!

That's great! Can't wait to receive a copy of LOST in the FOREST. I'm waiting for sooooooo long.

This game is great! I'll try it during this week. Thanks!

One thing that makes me confused is the "intended path" (i) use. It would be more coherent if it applies only on the way back, when you're trying to get out of the catacombs. But that can be treated as a house rule.

Your game gave me a lot of ideas to create another adventure.
