The analytics are at https://itch.io/games/newest by tag mostly, but not since the update.

I added a file in the devlog interface, thinking it's important.

Regarding the update, I was very productive and overhauled half of the demo and significantly increased the content (some was prepared for full version). And I saw in the Most Recent Game Major Update Devlogs just news: a roadmap update or news about a demo update on Steam, without an update to the game itself on Itch. Apparently, the problem is that I only have the demo here.

Thank you for the detailed answer! This is a lot of useful information for me.

Hello.

This is my first experience working with Itch. A month ago, I published a demo for my game. A couple of days ago, I released a major update. It's significant overhaul of both the gameplay and progression systems. I created a devlog to announce it, but even after almost two days, it still hasn't appeared in the "Developer logs" section. All the new views I'm getting are coming from external sources. Here devlog: https://twowizards.itch.io/box-grinder/devlog/1542020/demo-v2. At least 35 days had passed between the initial release of the game and the publication of the devlog.

I asked about this on Reddit, and I was told that major updates usually provide a significant boost to a game's visibility. For some reason, however, that doesn't seem to be the case for me.

Did I do something wrong when I published the devlog? Or are there specific additional criteria required to get featured?

I would be grateful for any advice. Thank you!

Thank you!

I'll try to add more depth. I don't pretend to create a great game. The main goal in development was to learn more about working with 3D, shaders and publishing/promotion. If the final game brightens up someone's evening, I'll be glad.

AI/LLM was used only for some concept of Promo materials, some UI elements (item frames, UI panels), also asset that contain UI images that were created using AI and edited by hand afterwards. And as code-assistent (more like extended autocomplete option in IDE).

Thank you for feedback!

The game is intended as a slight irony about loot boxes, and part of the idea is that you're collecting chests for useless pictures. I should to convey this better.

Mechanically, the game has tools for manipulating chances. Isn't enough, I guess.

Hi everyone!

The demo of our game is now available on Itch:https://twowizards.itch.io/box-grinder

Box Grinder is a small incremental game about collecting items and opening loot boxes.

In the demo, you can open boxes, collect items, complete your collection, dismantle duplicates into resources, and spend those resources on upgrades to get more boxes, unlock new box types, and discover new features. We are planning to show much more in future updates.

This is also our first release on Itch, so we would really appreciate any advice, comments, or feedback.

Thanks for checking it out!

hey! thank you! at some point, due to upgrades, the rarest one will also be replenish enough rate
