Thanks for the feedback!

Regarding the seemingly unexplained death: While I don't know the exact details, I suspect this may be due to a lag spike that occurs when first entering that area. We couldn't quite figure out the reason why during development or find a fix, though now suspect that it may be related to https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/87843  or https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/103308.

Thanks! The atmosphere via the graphics, audio, and post-processing was definitely the biggest point of focus, as it's a very exploration/ "vibe" centric game, so it's great to hear from people that we hit the mark there.

Thanks for the feedback!

The game is very punishing by design, but of course that's not for everyone and can be felt negatively.

Your idea for the scribbled subtitles that become briefly visible does sound like an interesting solution. Whether or not there'll be a post-jam update is still unclear, but if there is one, we might add something akin to that.

Great to hear you liked the atmosphere!

The audio logs are quite hard to understand; though that was a conscious decision so that players may need to work together on figuring out what they do say. Well, or adjust the volume sliders to mute all but voice, if you wanna go down that route. If a post-jam version is made, subtitles may be added though they'd likely not be made easily readable either...

Yes, on each first load it takes a while. Unfortunately, this issue seems to be with some kind of rate-limitting on itch, as it's not present on an externally hosted webserver.
