hey thanks for playing and also reaching out! i didnt word the menu very straight forward, 'start' here is 'restart' in the menu and you hold enter to choose it.

i'm not sure about when you restart it being stuck, i wonder if you missed at least one check point which saves the game.  you can manipulate the game with this save data on Windows the path is C:\Users\myprofilename\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\silent abyss\ inside here is a 'games.json' and '123' text files-- open with notepad if you want to edit, but send me what you have I'm curious maybe we can get you back to the same spot easily.

if you delete the games.json and 123 files entirely it resets the game save to initial game.

Thanks so much for your feedback and play thru! I agree with the wall slide comment, I need more time to figure out the math on that-- it's much more intuitive and probably why it exists in Mario. I made some changes to lighting and added some highlights to help show where to land ledge grabs-- I plan to upload changes after the jam ends.

Thanks for the feedback. I plan to update the game with some quality of life and a bit more content, once voting ends!

Great recommendations, thank you

seems cool, lots of glowing reviews online of the full game. this jam version I can't get out once I get the wall kick

I like the graphics, this game takes both skill and ability to work under pressure! Fun overall but a bit hard I thought

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks

Interesting game idea! I couldn't figure out how to get an eco system going, maybe a smaller sample of how to use plants and tools to create the required nutrients for other plants would be helpful. I would suggest taking this further as a mobile game, it's a neat concept

great idea, and well put together! I had a bug where once I snapped a picture of a stingray it wouldn't log any more creatures afterwards, it always assumed each new picture was still a stingray
