I tested this on my phone and I find it odd because I can load it up on Newgrounds just fine. I think I found a limitation of my game engine if I have JUST text as my first scene... Damnit gotta update all of the stories now!

Not my type of kinks but this was well written and engaging, I recommend for anyone into "Brat Taming" as a genre. I think the choice at the beginning while very small is also very welcome and can add immersion or variety for the reader based on their preferences.
Side Note: I played through the game entirely from my Android phone so that's cool, not a lot of HTML5 games cater to doing that.
Pretty much, the presentation and music also adds to nostalgia especially if you grew up playing the GBA era like I did.
Joi is the name of the game (Jerk off instructions) and that's something me and a lot of others are into. If it's not your thing then you at least didn't put any money down on trying a new experience but I hope you did enjoi your time playing regardless.
Side Note: I plan to do more with this concept in the future and add more interaction + responsive elements but I never want to pump these games out so that each one feels unique like your interacting with a different character IN character and not just interacting with a popular character with generic writing scripts.
I think I know what the problem is, thank you for letting me know! I'm sorry that this issue happened to begin with.
EDIT: FIXED IT WITH A BACKUP! I HAVE NOOOO IDEA WHAT WAS WRONG!!!
NO IDEA WHAT BROKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE BUT IT WASN'T THE DISCLAIMER, THE GAME ITSELF JUST REFUSED TO LOAD IN HTML5!!! WHY ALL CAPS? IF IT WASN'T FOR THIS BACKUP I HAD TO HUNT DOWN AND FIND THEN THIS GAME WOULD BE SO BROKEN I'D HAVE TO REMAKE IT!!!!! SO I CAN'T BREATH ON THE CODE IN THE FUTURE, I'LL HAVE TO REMAKE THE ENTIRE GAME IF I WANT TO ADD ANY NEW FEATURES FOR THE WEB VERSION.
Thank You very much for pointing out it wasn't playing in the first place, I need to pray and have a good cry.
Note: This issue was for the web version only, the PC and Android builds still worked perfectly fine!
Generally it just sounds like this isn't for you and that's okay, there's thousands of other projects probably to your liking on itch.
That said if this was labeled as anything other than a game project you and thousands of others would have never interacted with it. I'm not trying to "fool" anyone it says flip comic right there in the title.
I hope you do find something to your liking elsewhere on this website.
This was not by choice but necessity since the HTML5 Version would have issues running battles.
I usually do free online versions and paid downloads anyway in general.
I couldn't afford to release this game for free at all but did so anyway so something had to give (Your Welcome!). The apk version selling somewhat decently is THE ONLY REASON this game is getting any additional content and potentially a whole chapter expansion if sales keep happening because my Subscribstar was a bust.
I'll add this to the FAQ but here's a kicker for indie devs. Microsoft will flag any windows exe that isn't "signed" as a potential virus which can cost quite a bit per application (about $200 per application). Some software companies like Unity and Unreal pay to package their "signs" when you create a build cutting out the process for devs. Sadly Clickteam Fusion being the small team they are can't afford this process so all exe made with it are unsigned and always flagged as a potential virus.
TLDR no my game isn't a virus, Microsoft wants me to pay them to prove otherwise and I don't have the funds to sign every piece of software I make.
I'm sorry if you feel uncomfortable with the "Trust me bro" response but I don't know what else to say.
This goes the same for Android apps, if you're not downloading it from the Store then it gets flagged as a potential virus.
I have a Flipcomic / Flipbook program that makes comics / stories interactable. I then publish them as "games" and they get Thousands of views. People come to Itch for games not books so it's worth a try if you want to chat more about it.

An example of a flipcomic: https://tamed-shame.itch.io/nameless-flipcomic 400+ pages so it may take a moment to load
I made it to promote THIS webcomic on itch specifically: https://teamdeaddeer.itch.io/price-for-freedom-nameless
NGL After switching the category from Game to Book it killed ALL of the momentum the stories had statistically!
My consensus was right, people don't go on itch to read books but to play games and since these stories are free, interactable, and labeled as stories in their titles I don't see the harm in keeping them up as "Games" when our goal is ultimately to get our stories read.
If you disagree I apologize but I feel the labeling should stay. Is it deceptive? Yeah... but so far you are the only one to point out the category situation so I honestly don't think many care in the long run and will move on to something else if it's not their thing.
Price for Freedom is one of my favorites comics ever and the more people that know about it the better! (If dark fantasy and themes are their thing). Keep up with the comic on the actual creators' page! It's updated EVERY Thursday! https://teamdeaddeer.itch.io/
I essentially made the Flipcomic adaptation as a test to see how big of a project my method of making these can handle in terms of load times, quality, etc and 400 or so pages is a good limit.
What did you expect from a flip comic? Do you have any suggestions?
My latest uploads (Warning NSFW) are web accessible only and yet I see people are making downloads from my dashboard, that shouldn't be possible right? Does it pop up when people are embeding it? or does it have to do with people downloading the cover picture?
TLDR: What is triggering the Download statistic when the game is only meant to be an HTML5 web app?

I have A LOT of more ideas for this game, revolutionary even! However I'd prefer to crowdfund it so I can have the time to give it the writing + interactive elements it deserves. I'm taking all the feedback possible to make the best possible sequel/definitive edition possible!
When? I don't know, maybe soon! I'm SUPER HAPPY & PROUD that so many people want more from these games / experiences I've made!
I still had more ideas for this 1NAF I was thinking of adding in terms of story and gameplay, even making a short novel adaptation.
That said in my opinion a FULL game that is no longer being supported or updated isn't dead, it's done. Finished, creators like to move on and try new ideas. The joy of creation drives us to move on to new ideas project to project. Something I feel has become lost in the game industry when it became all about money, hurting what gamers expect from developers.
As for ideas for a new DEFINITIVE and FINAL update, I'm considering adding.
- Expanded story content
- New stealth mechanics
- A new character & new gameplay style for said character
- A new location entirely
- 1 or 2 new animatronics and more animations.
That's it, I'm not sharing anymore details and that's all the ideas I have left for this game.
No idea when this would happen since I'm working on another game right now. If I don't get around to updating 1NAF for any reason then you can read the novel adaptation when that's done, it will have all of the details and story beats of the definitive edition but in book form.
Yeah I undersell myself, I don't like seeing people complain about paying for games even if they're short. Games aren't easy to make period! My compromise is that if you want to download to keep it (and get extra features) you can pay for it.
My next game will be out by the end of the month and will cost money for the full game.
It will have a free demo though + I'm bringing it to Steam.
I can't believe I forgot to reply to you when I updated the game but BEAUTIFUL chip tune music was added to the game thanks to a good and dear friend of mine along with updates that add to the presentation I put love into. If you haven't gone back and played it again I highly recommend you do so! ☺️
Thank you very much for letting me know, I'll patch that ASAP and maybe add a little something extra in the Android build while I'm at it 👀
Porting the game to 3 different formats at the same time was taxing so I'm not surprised I overlooked that especially since I had to come up with a new control scheme from scratch and that was my main focus at the time.
Again thank you very much for letting me know, expect an update VERY soon! 😊
10/31/23 4pm: I've noticed an audio glitch in the HTML version of the game and am working to fix it, If not I'll just have to remove them but they'll stay in the .exe version.
Hotfixes and adjustments are coming thank you for your patience.
Update 10/31/23 6pm: Hotfix for the audio is done! More to come VERY soon!
