Appreciate that you think the character sprites are interesting! It's one of my first project I've been able to submit within the deadline, and it shows! Doing the art and programming all by myself was certainly a challenge, as each frame requires a level of detail that unfortunately didn't leave time for replacing the placeholder art I used while designing the stage. Completely understandable that it can aesthetically feel uninspired, I'm choosing to classify it as a prototype for an idea I found interesting.

The level of polish on this is incredible very well done! I love navigating the maze, and the bosses are all incredibly exciting and fun to engage with. The audio design is great, and the attacks have multiple ways you can approach dealing with them which felt great for leaning into self expression. The weapons are exciting as well and really intuitive while also changing the play style quite a bit to keep things interesting. It's clear you were able to come up with a great plan early on and execute on it very well. Glad I checked this one out!

I can't believe you guys got this within the time frame this is really cool! I love jet arcade games so much and this was a joy to play! The camera was being a bit too sensitive while playing and I did have a difficult time using my mouse in collaboration with keys to get around so I'd say that's somethin to refine, but otherwise excellent work!

Thanks for the feedback and kind words! I did add linearly increasing growth on the stamina regen later on in design to reduce the standin around bit, but now that I'm thinkin about your words a mini game for stamina regen would be wonderful. I think something like dodging the attacks successfully adding back some stamina could enhance the experience.

I love the movement options  as well as the arena you created it really lends itself to engaging and intense duels! Also big fan of your artwork you have a follow from me! Look forward to seeing more of your work <3

Very cute game I love your art!

Amazing and very well done! I love these inventory puzzle systems wherever they show up, and it compliments your game and the theme so well! The art style is great and the theme of the Bayou is incredibly fun. Wonderful work!

Really neat! I love the crab fight a lot fun reference. I appreciate that the boss fights are something that can be learned with a bit of practice, and that they can be fought in any order. Maybe needs some UI to explain which buttons to press to select the boss and get through dialogue, and settings to adjust audio in game. Great work!

Very impressed by the smooth movement, and the primary attack is a really interesting idea! I love the yoyo feeling I got from how it bounces back to you, great work!

I love it! Humanity restored

Fantastic art, the music combined with the aesthetic really pushes a style that will welcome fans. I did find that the camera is a bit limiting too often and will often result in the player taking damage from sources they can't see, that will probably leave some feeling frustrated. Otherwise great work!

The personality of each boss can be felt through each fight, engaging with them feels like a conversation and really leaves a great impression in a short amount of time. The game handled really smoothly and felt like a successfully crafted experience. The music is AMAZING and really enhances the impact of the project to that next level that gets you thinking abstractly while you're experiencing everything.

Super engaging idea for a fighting game! I love your other work and you did it again with this one <3

Thanks for trying it out! I would have loved to do the art for the stage, and had some plans to do some classical themed architecture mixed with jet engines for the platforms. Just ran out of time unfortunately but noted for the next one! :,)

Also glad to hear you enjoyed the snakes, they felt like a silly and necessary addition.

This is soo creative very well done!
