hi hi! Random question. How would you feel about working on some special art for a Victorian inspired whodunnit with some supernatural elements? I was looking for someone who would be interested in drawing some crime scenes for a minigame and maybe some other art? But your art may be a fun match ! Let me know if you’d be interested! I can send you a message on discord!

Hello there! I'm Alex and I have been really wanting to create a cottagecore style game of sorts. Originally, I've been thinking of a minecraft modpack as I have a server and I've not been seeing exactly what I've been wanting to create. I really just want to create something that is blends a cozy cottagecore with a dash of whimsy, heavy on exploration, along with that sandbox feel, and farming of course!
I am a full time illustrator and can try my hand at modeling, but programming is my ultimate downfall. I don't know what even is possible and I would want to work with someone or a small team to make it a reality!
Personally, a minecraft mod was what I was setting out to do, but after doing some note taking and pinterest inspo hunting, I realized that this could also become something original. It really would depend on the right programmer that I could work with.
The full on desires (mod focused) are:
- cottagecore feel (a mix of cozy cabin, farm, flowers, greens, and a little whimsy)
- unique building materials (some unique trees, plants, or ores that can be added to add more texture to a minecraft game or patterns to a build)
- something special with farming (or a mod capable with a farming mod like Pam's HarvestCraft, Croptopia, or Farmers Delight)
- unique decoration items (I love seeing little mugs, fun witch/fantasy hats, hanging lights, unique bookshelves, etc... things that give a little flair to a kitchen or tavern design)
- special mobs (like a pig with a wizard hat, maybe it sells things or just a fun NPC to have in a town... squirrels, little mushroom people, maybe some fancier mobs that only attack when provoked like a kitsune or moth that can drop special items.)
if going for an original game, I do have a lot more thoughts from like player classes, map ideas, and world building.
If this is something that you may be interested in wanting to work together, please feel free to reach out to me! I am looking for more of a professional working relationship with whomever I work with, so that this could be something we can not only put in our portfolios, but have a professional job under us.
Hello! I've been wanting to make a game myself but one that incorporates puzzle rpg elements with a visual novel too. Think a little like old school nancy drew mystery with just being able to go around on an rpg map to do puzzles.
I own RPG Maker MV, Aesprite, the entire adobe suite, and of course Renpy is free, so software wise it's not going to be too hard, but I just want to know if it's possible. I just didn't like the idea of doing "just a visual novel" or "just an rpg maker game". Does anyone know if its possible to make an rpg + visual novel kind of game with this software I own? Thanks!
Hello there! I'm Alex and I am a professional illustrator with a background in animation and interactive media design.
I am mainly a character designer and work in the realm of print (comics, branding, children's books). That being said though, I've been looking for opportunities to work back in the interactive media/gaming side of art and design.
I am available for professional art services, but I am also looking for just some fun projects to continue to hone my craft as well. So if anyone is looking for an artist for their project, I would absolutely love to be able to talk with you about it. If you are interested in viewing my portfolio, you are welcome to visit my LLC's website at sunnyskiesdesign.com and reach out to me through my website. Even if your budget is small or nonexistent, you are welcome to pitch your project to me!
(Also, beyond illustration/design, if you need help with producing, project management, or art directing I am also available to help with these as well!)
Thank you for your time!
Hello! I’m Alex and I’m extremely interested in participating in this jam! I’ve never done anything like this before, but it would be a fun project to experience! (Plus the colors and ideas of fall AND a day night cycle sounds right up my alley! ❤️)
I’m mainly a character artist but I do concept art, branding, and pretty much anything art so assets for a game would be no problem.
My aesthetic is definitely more on the cute, whimsical, happy side, but I also have a soft spot for fantasy and anime aesthetic too. My portfolio/website is at sunnyskiesdesign.com
I do work ft as an illustrator and do temp work, so my time currently is to nights and weekends (CST). So if that’s okay for a team or another creative to still make something, then that’s awesome!
It would be awesome to work with another creative or two to just make a fun cute game! I’ve got plenty of experience as an artist but also a fellow creative. (Programming, alas, is not a strength of mine) Feel free to reach out to me if you’re interested in working together! My discord is: Faydflowright#1705
(Ps, something about the idea of a calico cat main character sounds adorable with this theme:
