Good thoughts. Its my first game, and I'm not sure how much time I want to spend polishing it vs moving on. Audio would help a lot to be sure. Thanks for playing and for the feedback! :)

I didn't have the -jar argument. I tried adding -jar this time and got this output:

Worked for me, thanks so much for offering a linux build!

wow, great game. I used the linux version, looked great, though I had to scale it down in the options to keep the CPU at reasonable levels. I'm amazed you got that done in a month. I want to play more but I'm at work and lunch is over :)

I'm partial to Codenames, so I wanted to give this a whirl. Unfortunately when I try to run it says "Error: Could not find or load main class Codenames-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar"

Good job! I really liked the marimba sound as the mouse passes over the buttons. My only real criticism is that it didn't seem like the most hybrid of games. Fun though.

I tried to run in FF on linux, but I got a java runtime error as soon as I clicked start (index out of bounds)

Interesting game. I think I'd enjoy it more if I could control the shooting. I like the scenario you've described for the game, but it feels a bit slow paced (waiting for parts to fall) and I don't have as much control as I'd like.

thanks for the feedback! I'll add some more explanation to the description. It probably is a bit crazier than first intended, but its meant to be snowballs flying everywhere.

oh! I thought the submission was locked (how did you guess I'm a newb?) :D
I had to cut the background for the windows version but its at least playable now. Thanks for trying it!

Fun idea but seems like there may be a couple bugs. It seemed like I kept getting sent back to the start, even when I didn't get shot. Sometimes the "shrapnel" from exploding bullets would make it impossible to shoot the opponents. Worst thing though was that after buying some towers nothing seemed to happen. This was on FF on linux if it makes any difference.

good job! Its a bit too hard for me, but I'm not really a gamer. :) I like the idea, and it was fun, but I couldn't get enough gold to build anything without landing on some spikes. Perhaps an easier first level would be nice, but probably most people can get through.

Clever idea, a bit too challenging I think, I was getting frustrated. It would be nice if where you tap controls the vertical position of the paddle on the left side, or have the mouse position control it, rather than just having it automatically oscillate. I had no audio either (firefox ubuntu). Good job though.

Aww, bummer. I ran out of time so I didn't actually test the windows build at all. I can't get it to work on my windows 7 machine. I'm afraid to run it on windows you'd have to download the source from the github link. I don't think I can remove the windows binary at this point so I'll just add a big warning in my description. Thanks for trying!

Edit: hmm, you can just download the source as a .zip and import it using the godot binary provided in the windows build. It seems to work there. I have no idea why it doesn't work in the binary (probably something to do with using an alpha version :] ).
