If you are struggling to find a team, we recommend looking in the itch.io Discord or within our own Discord! Lots of devs looking for teams in both :))

Hi, we have recently created a new jam page, due to start on the 26th. It was originally up on the Calendar but has suddenly stopped showing. The jam is 10 days long.

We were wondering if there is a reason for this, or any rules we have broken with our jam. Any help or advice is very much appreciated!

Here is the jam page: https://itch.io/jam/snappygurus-summer-gamejam-2025

Snappy Gurus is kickstarting a 10 day jam running from the 26th-4th September.
This is a great event for those new to jams or those who are coming from the industry and looking to have a bit of fun!

All submissions are streamed live and we give thorough feedback on submissions. We also have areas within our discord to find teams, ask for help and guidance throughout the jam and share your WIPs!

Go check it out: https://itch.io/jam/snappygurus-summer-gamejam-2025

We have set up a forum within our discord to help you find team members and filter based on roles!
If you need help finding the channel, please ask a member of staff <3

Hi Cariad!

The sources assets get taken into account when judging, and the only thing they get marked up for is usage rather than development.

If the game is made of mostly sourced assets the game will be marked down heavily based on how much is sourced.

There are no prizes for this jam, however there will be in our next summer jam! The summer jam is 5 days long, commencing August 2nd, and will be announced formally soon after this jam :)

This is fine to post! You're also welcome to join the Discord server and ask in there too!!

Our next game jam commences on Monday, 27 February 2023 00:00 and will finish on Wednesday, 8 March 2023 23:59

Please share this with your game dev pals as there's a new team size limit of 8!!

Use #SGGO2023 on social media to keep us updated online!

February's Monthly Challenge will also contribute a few points to the teams so look out for that!

With it being a longer jam with larger team sizes we can't wait to see your creations!!

You can search for members using the looking-for-group channel on our Discord server (https://discord.gg/Y2c55Q9hVW)!

The THEME will be released when the jam date begins, keep your eyes peeled on this channel for that!
