For what it's worth, I am lucky enough to be able to live off making a visual novel and I've been a fan of your work and material for quite a while! Your stuff is amazing and it's definitely helping tons of other developers with dreams to create amazing things out there, too!

Definitely! This update has had some hurdles, but it's close to coming out! 

Depends on where did you see that! All Memorium entries have to be unlocked by playing the game and clicking the memories (from the colored text) as they appear in the story. Notes on new updates about new sprites being added can mean entirely new sprites for characters (but having/unlocking the memory is still required) or just new variations of sprites that were already visible in the Memorium, but that weren't there to be seen yet.

Hey! Some of the newer pieces of music were made by the amazing Hughhh, a composer and friend who I commission music pieces from when I can! Most of the older pieces are from a music for games package I have bought quite a while ago. Though the music pack music is very nice, I hope to replace most of it with originals little by little as it becomes possible. :)

I'm sorry to hear that! I'll do some research to see what can be done about something like that. When you say "speed things up", do you mean while the Skip function is running in fast forward?

Oh, that's the problem. Chapter 3 of the collaboration on the Demons Within side is only available in version 14.6, which is currently only available for Patreon supporters! I'm working on Update 15 right now, though, and as soon as Update 15 is released for supporters, version 14.6 will become public and free, and then the password will work. :) 

Could you tell me which version of Demons Within are you playing? Is it 13.0? 14.0? Or 14.6? You should be able to see the game's version at the bottom of the main menu of the game

Hello! I haven't gotten any other reports of this not working yet. To unlock chapter 3 of the collaboration in Demons Within, you have to use the password that is given in Shelter when you finished Chapter 2 over there! Is that the one you are trying to use?

If it still doesn't work, let me know, and I can look into it! As far as my testing went, it seemed to work

The next chapter of the crossover on Demons Within's side is being worked on right now! It'll be coming soon. ;)

The crossover is a separate side story in both games! It is updated in its own schedule on both games, but separately from either game's main story. It's supposed to be small and not too long. The updates will keep coming on both sides, and it should finish after a few of them.

Both Shelter and Demons Within have their own game story that is bigger and unrelated to the crossover.

This is a common question! I don't really answer lore or future questions myself so I think you'll just have to see what happens! Sorry!

We're still somewhat at the beginning of the story, all things considered, so things are still evolving in these regards!

Hello! I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand your question. Did you mean to ask if you can play Demons Within's story in the newest version? You definitely can! The collab content is just extra. Or did you mean something different?

The number of choices that are made and registered through the story make it a little trickier, but as the game gets longer, it's in the plans to make something like that, yes!

I tried using an emitter inside a screen and when I do that, the emitter works, but it seems to completely ignore the warmup_time parameter and always send particles in waves. 

Is there a way to use the emitter inside a screen?

Is there a specific Renpy version requirement or something to use it? I decided to try it out, added the .rpys to my project, and when starting,g I get the following error right away:

This is hard to say! I've been writing stories for years before I started Demons Within, and this visual novel is just a new, cooler way to tell a story for me. :)

If I could say I have any inspirations, it would perhaps be Shelter since following its creation and development was definitely what pushed me into telling a story in a visual novel format myself as well!

What do you mean by the choice of not influencing? In most instances of influences, there is already the option of just continuing the text forward and not interfering, which would be the choice of not influencing. As the game continues, the choices might expand a little, but too many choices often lead to too much branching and ripples into even more branching in the future, so I do my best to give choices while also keeping the story concise. It is still mostly a linear story after all.

I've received more reports and found a bug around this part related to the warnings about the bad ending when playing on Android. Maybe that was the case?

At any rate, I already worked on a fix for this in case it happens. There's a point there where you have to infuse and tapping with the finger doesn't seem to work. Holding the finger down on the wheel seems to work, but that's not supposed to be that way! Maybe try that if you're still stuck!

We're very close to the public release of the new update (likely next week), so I'll ship that fix with that. Sorry for the inconvenience!

You should probably go further back in your save. There is more than one instance that can lead to a bad ending in that part and you might be stuck with a save after having already made the decision.

Hey! My aim is to eventually get Japanese translation done by people. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in the area of translation to Japanese, but if I find someone and manage to make it work, definitely yes!

Sorry! I announced in the devlog for version 11's Patreon release that from now on, the public version of the previous version will be released at roughly the same time as the new Patreon version comes out! Therefore, version 11 will become public once version 12 comes out. It's in the works right now!

I'm glad that Patreon came out with the feature of gifting subs that allowed this to happen. I think fan art is a win for everyone. It's creativity expressed from inspiration that people make out of enjoyment, it helps inspire me greatly to create more content, and all the other fans love to see it too! Super cool win-win-win!

Very likely! As I stated on X and Discord, I'm sending the rewards retroactively to everyone who did fanart in the last... roughly two weeks! Basically everyone who posted one after the release of Update 11 on Patreon and whose fanart is now queued to be featured in the credits of the upcoming Update 12 will still get the rewards retroactively!

I'm just taking the time to reach out to everyone to give it to them!

And, of course, every new piece from now on is eligible as well :D

There's been some confusion about that so I added a line to the rules explicitly stating that there's NO time limit on this! This campaign will keep running past update 12, so whenever you do get something out, just post it up and it should be good to go! :D

As for the OST, unfortunately, we don't have that available anywhere yet as we're still working on improving the game's music more and more! Eventually though, I'd love to have it available! I'll make sure to announce it everywhere, Itch included, when that happens!
