I bought a real C64 and some random disks off of eBay and I think Pitstop was one of the games I got along with Bubble Bobble, Star Paws and many others. The C64 eventually stopped working probably due to a bad power supply and I disassembled and resold the individual chips and other parts to get some of my money back. It was a fun experience even though I am too young to have grown up with the C64.

I wrote pong and breakout clones using a cross assembler and mostly complete clone of Pac Man but I lost my files sadly. Really a fascinating computer.

I made a vector graphics game where you play as a wizard and blow up hapless monsters with magic. It's a very small download (16 MB) because it was coded from scratch in C++ and has no textures at all, just very low-poly 3d models. Even the text and UI are 3d models.

I am pleased to announce the release of my new magic-themed, randomly-generated FPS game "Fields of Felglum". It is styled visually to resemble vector graphics games of the early 1980s but with fewer graphical limitations. The objective of the game is to fend off hordes of enemies, collecting gems that are used to summon bosses. Defeating bosses unlocks the keys to the next level. Levels can be skipped at any time for your convenience.

Fields of Felglum is released free of charge for Microsoft Windows

Please refer to the project page or attached README for detailed instructions on how to play.

Fields of Felglum was made from scratch using GLFW, SDL 2 and the SDL extension library SDL Mixer for audio. Gemini helped answer some programming questions but, to my knowledge, there is no other AI-generated content in my project.
