Thank you! I really appreciate that

its working, keep it up!

Really well composed, and mixed, listening on head phones, and the panning random little sounds like insects flying off past my ear,  are a really nice touch to make the listener feel they are in the fields or jungle.  Very cool!

Very nice, simple and catchy! I heard a bit of Beck in there as well. cool stuff, well done!

And yet all I needed to hear, thank you!

Clearly a man of culture

The automated panning with the soft saw pad was a really nice touch, quite gentle on the ears, and yet made it feel more chaotic. really good energy transition between the tracks too. Nicely done!

The DnB one is a nice vibe its a pretty navel gazy DnB track, but it works. great job!

This must be one of the best thematically linked OSTs I've heard, both in terms of the motif you've used, and the transitions. Can help but bop to cybernation battle, really good balance of chaos ,and the restful motif. great job!

loving the Floating through space followed by a rollercoaster of energy through out. Its hard to make such a chaotic vibe feel so groovin, you nailed it with 66:66, well done!

Thank you! also props for the Jupiter djinn

Thank you! yea i had fun with that, I gently rolled and egg shaker in front of a microphone,  rolled off some of the high end, and surrounded in a comforting blanket of reverb and echo, similar technique for the wind, and left it minimal so it just felt cavernous. Im really glad you liked it, seems the snare was hit and miss for many

Great work, pretty epic compositions, and an impressive scope! Using BBCs dynamics and expressions a bit more would give your strings and winds a much more natural feel, but the actual composition and orchestration is great! well done!

(1 edit)

This is phenomenal! The flute line over the epic back drop in the corridors of the time palace really gives a sense of awe and excitement, and I really liked the half to triplet to quarters build you had at the end of the fountain of youth, such a nice way to build resolution. But I have the same question as Aesaire, I think of percussion as driving the song, but you've made it almost an embellishment. What was the thought process there?

Great work over all, definitely one of the bests ones of this jam for me!

Thank you! really appreciate that, the drums didnt seem suit everyone's taste thus far haha

Man this is awesome! I love how hard alien mail goes, well done! Also give your graphic designer a raise

That bass line to fight against the boss is pretty hype! very nice lick

Thank you!

Well done, really enjoyed the odd time signatures, especially the breakbeat in 3284 feet under making it really not feel 4/4

Thank you!

Thanks for the feed back, and yea the idea was as the platformer progressed there would be different style of levels starting at a vast sandy nothingness working towards a more tech-y advanced civ (who control time) , so the style was supposed to evolve, but I didn't have time to really run the full music gauntlet. But Im really glad you enjoyed it!

Really loving that dirty bass line, couldn't help but mutter "nice" to myself the first time it kicked in. Great track, and my favourite use of the clock sound of the subs Ive heard so far!

Hey I really like the tracks lovely composition and pacing, especially "Erase the past" . It just had something missing in the 300hz range which made it feel a bit thin to my ear. So I hope its ok, but I did a quick remaster (just EQ and a little comp, but no limiting or levelling) to bring it up a bit and balance the highs out, hope thats ok

Thanks for breaking that down. Ill give it a go!

Real nice grooves found myself bopping along to them, and the title ITS TIMING TIME made me laugh, like the hype man for setting up Rubik's cube comp. awesome work

Very calming take on contemplating the vastness of our world. lovely stuff

I think i was supposed to add a photo of the session in the DAW and I don't know how to retrospectively change things so I'm posting it here

Really beautiful and well crafted pieces, I especially liked  timeless dream, its variance in melodies and rhythm really gave me a sense of a journey undertaken. Try pairing the crashes at 1:50ish, with some kind of bass drum/timpani to give a bit of punch to them. Great work, well done!

This feels like you had fun making it, which means we had fun listening to it, well done!

Thank you! The snare was intended to be off to give that off kilter feeling, but I understand where you're coming from.  Glad you liked most of it though!

Thank you! the ending was a mistake which i didnt catch before I uploaded embarrassingly. accidentally set the echo to 100% wet so it missed the 1st beat and was way to much echo. Was just supposed to be the sozu gently clacking 1 more time but with a slightly longer fade out

Thank you for the honest feed back!

Beautiful, and that kick really gives a restless pace/tension  to what I would otherwise been a too peaceful town. stuff happening here, and we better figure out what. well done!

Love it! The weird bouncy vibe, and the general funk, is spot on for the city! I think you might need to bring up the lows or tame some of the highs as it feels a little unbalanced in the mix when the synth chords come in, but I loved the pin ball drop to transition.

Great stuff! well done

Super soothing, the soothing deep bass makes me feel like Im floating in a pool and highs gives the twinkling  feeling of looking at stars. Great mix, well done!

Thank you and I appreciate for the critique!

This is so zen! Great job

Hi All, Im a Composer and Sound designer looking to join a team. Im not experienced in implementing sound into games (this is the bit I want to practice) , but I am good at creating them. Please feel free to reach me on Discord: sirlamps

1 Hello, My name is Ben and I’m musician and composer in the UK

2 No I have never participated in a Game jam, and I joined because I love games, and composing for  them seems a fun new way to be creative musically

3 The list of games I love is pretty endless, but the main ones that came up when I read the question were Diablo 2, FF10, GOW, CSGO, Pokemon

4 I have little to no experience with any engines, although I have been working with WWise and FMOD to get to grips with how they work, but would love an opportunity to implement some of what I’m learning.

5 I’m pretty passionate about Music, Climbing and Videos games. So if anyone wants to do an immersive cinematic climbing game, that pretty much ticks all my boxes

6 To get involved and start my first game jam, and meet people who share common interests, and ofc make a game!

Hi SAM

Thanks so much for your considered response! True, although I have had DMs us BG music to set scenes, so that's where my head was at.  I will take you up on those recommendations and thank you for taking the time to respond!

Have a great day!
