Theme

Hot Spring Town

Correlation to theme
The water is reperesented by the harp, cheesy but effective. The smooth arpegios demonstrating the flow and movement whilst the slow plucking could demonstrate the slow but hefty drips, allowing your reflection as you enter the fabled Springs.

The drums act as drips, or even plumes of hot water coming from geysers, mixed in with the stick percussion shows there is a presence here, this could be people walking, chatting, going about their daily business.

The strings and woodwind bouncing off of and interacting with each other go further to demonstrate the life of the town. The long held out notes, adding to the idea that hot springs are relaxing.

I really enjoyed making this and I hope you enjoy listening to it!

ooo I love that arpegio that comes in at around 30s. Such a vibey adventurous drum line as well. Really awesome track.

Really orchestral entry, very different from the other entries. I dig it! It started off slow, making me think it was a calm serene town. Then at 0:16 it game me minor-vibes, as if there is something wrong. Then from 0:32 it felt like it became major again, coming to the rescue. Quite the experience! Well done :D

One general note though: I would suggest you to upload an .mp3 file of sorts next time, as entries without submission are not considered when looking for "submissions in need of ratings". It almost prevented me from seeing and rating your entry! And besides, without .mp3 I cannot add this song to my iTunes for regular listening (and I am tired of sketchy online converters) :)

No problem :D

And don't worry, your song was too good not to put in my iTunes, so I downloaded it anyway ;)

This is very soothing, but also kinda adventurous too. The song matches very well with all of the description, specially with the sect of monks lore, and I really enjoyed listening!

I think it’s really cool that you decided to write a hot springs theme in a minor key - it makes it sound really epic, which is a unique direction for a hot springs theme. The harp arpeggios add that relaxing quality and do help me imagine steam rising from pristine blue water. The drums add to the intensity and give a foreboding quality that makes me imagine that this town may not be as relaxing as some may anticipate. Overall this is a cool composition - great work and thank you for sharing!

Thank you for your kind feedback :)

Well spotted! I automatically default to writing in a Minor Key, I even started out with this in a Major key and it just didn't sound right to me, I snuck in that sneaky C major chord at the end of the harp sequence to vaguely help with some major contrast so it's something!

Thank you for taking the time to listen and feedback, it is really appreciated.

Beautiful, and that kick really gives a restless pace/tension  to what I would otherwise been a too peaceful town. stuff happening here, and we better figure out what. well done!

Thank you so much! There are many mysteries here, who knows if we will discover them all!

The sound is like the moment when the principal character decides go to the adventure, is a so beautiful composition. I don't know if I feel the composition like sprints but is a great composition, the chords and the progressions, brings the nostalgia and decisions. The arrangements are thoroughly made, good job!
