You made this in a day???????????????????????
You're honestly talented.
The game is beautifully drawn and animated. It's genuinely pleasing to look at! (somewhat nostalgic too in a way?)
I don't usually like puzzle games that much, but this one is easy to figure out and also fun to do!
It's pretty hard to find out how to line up the pieces sometimes, so it would've been better if there was some sort of hint system (eg: text description of the final image) or if there was a completed reference at the start.
I can confidently say that you'll end up somewhere on the top 5! Great job!
Thank you for playing and leaving a review!
I was planning to add a ~1-2 time limit to each level while also having the cube melt, but I lost track of time and didn't get the chance to do either. (I was in the bathroom and randomly checked the jam page and saw that I only had 30 mins left when I thought I had a couple more hours.)
Also just to clarify, this is my first 3-DAY jam, and not my first jam in general. (albeit my last jam was like 3 years ago so yeah)
The game's visuals are pretty sick, and I honestly love grappling hooks and swinging in games, so getting a chance to mess around with that was pretty fun.
I love the secret collectibles too! having some of them rely on freezing randomly dropping blocks is a little annoying tho.
I think the game would've been better with more static/consistent obstacles, as having randomly falling blacks makes it hard to go fast or do any form of consistent movements, so it ends up being frustrating.
The music is also a little hard to listen to, but I like the freeze sound effect!
You did really well!
The game's visuals are basic but they look nostalgic in a way that's hard to express. I kinda like them!
Freezing time to take advantage of physics objects like fans and blocks is honestly quite fun, especially if it was expanded on a bit more.
The game is a little lacking in content and variety, but it's pretty nice for something made in 3 days!
in your camera settings, set process call to physics to stop it from jittering, and also try to not make all your controls be pressed with one hand, it's pretty difficult to use.
the whistle and freeze mechanics feel like they were thrown in last minute, but otherwise the game's a decent platformer.
The game could also use some more music and sound effects though.
Pretty good game!
the graphics are nice, although the player looks goofy with only an attack animation, also I didn't encounter any enemies, is it because I was on fire level 20?
also the player tends to fling himself into the sky sometimes, and the performance is nowhere near stable on low end laptops.
but other than that, its pretty solid!
I love it!
the graphics are nice, the idea is nice too, it's just that the multi-use theme isn't really implemented well as it is very easy to beat the game without actually drinking water, you can also get stuck without being able to move but those bugs are minor and easy to avoid, and you can also launch yourself really high with a cactus!
this is something I would love to speedrun!
I kinda failed at explaining the game properly, so here's a more in-depth desc:
Basically the bar on the left displays your thirst, let it go too low and you lose!
the one on the right is the temperature, if it gets too high you lose too.
You can make your thirst bar higher by drinking water (PRESS V), and you can make the temperature bar lower by taking out all the fires each time they burn again (touch them with a water bucket)
sorry for the inconveniences listed up, but I hope that this would help you understand the game more!
Thanks for the positive reply! I would've added more instructions but I was using the free version of construct, which had a lot of limitations on me, and I do agree that the game ends a bit suddenly without any indicators, and I have tried to add some indicating but it didn't go well.
Hopefully next jam I could do better as I'm learning Godot!
