Thank you so much for playing it! :)

Thank you!! Oo I didn't even realize the size of the file, lol. It's probably big because I have some assets and writing for the full version in there. I was initially trying to do the whole game but realized half way through that I couldn't make it in time for the jam.

Aww thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. :)

Thank you so much!!! Your comment is so sweet and thoughtful I wish I knew how to respond to it. T-T

I was so nervous to submit it. It's a real comfort to know people have liked it. :)

Thank you so much for playing it!

And thank you for your feedback! I'm def going to fix a bunch of stuff text/ui wise as that seems to be the most common complaint. I was kinda learning renpy as I went here, so it was super overwhelming. Didn't get to everything.

Well that certainly got my heart racing! Loved it! Luckily I'm pretty good with mazes, so I managed to get through with only like 3 deaths. Don't think I got to see everything though.
Loved the monster and the suddenness of everything, really does an excellent job of creating panic in the player!

Good job!  Changing the character's opacity as they talk was super cool. I never would have thought of that. I kinda wanna try it out in my own projects now. :)

This was great! Short but very engaging! :)

This was fantastic! I love a story about the cult.
The choice for 2 different art styles was a really cool feature. (I might want to try that in my work sometime.)

This was SUPER interesting! I really enjoyed the blocky pixel like art style, it complimented the data/scientific themes wonderfully. Kinda reminded me of like spread sheets and stuff. :)

These having to choose a sacrifice games are always interesting. I only got one ending so far, but I fully intend on coming back and trying again. Great job!

Thank you!!!

The crinkly effect is because I paint with a custom gouache brush. And good catch with the hair thing!

Yeah, the gui and ui stuff was a bit daunting for me, I'm new to renpy so I had to google every bit of customization and just didn't have the time there. It's the first thing on my list to fix as I continue working on it.

Thank you again for playing, I'll be checking out your game soon. :)

Thank you so much! I'll keep working hard and hopefully the full game will be out soon. :)

Thank you so much for playing it! :)

Simple but fun! Great voice acting! :)

I really liked how vivid the descriptions were. Fantastic work painting a scene even with limited visuals. :)

Great Job!!
The whole thing looks and feels so professional. And I loved the designs and art style! Especially that Life and Death looked like aliens.

And that opening scene really was truly incredible!  Sucks you right in!

The only thing I think could be improved would be in the Marauder's route. I played that route first and kept getting a bit confused. First going in understanding that everyone was immortal, but then he talks about killing people a bunch and it wasn't super clear that they were still 'living' in some way. So it seemed like they were immortal but could still die to wounds and such. That was answered very nicely in the barkeep's route. (My favorite part of the whole game was the barkeep talking to the undertaker <3) But I think emphasizing the continuous existence after death and the horror that is in the Marauder's route would help first time readers. :)

Really fantastic work all around though.

And that lovely camera panning was inspiring. Kinda want to try that in my own work now.

(I know you didn't ask for constructive criticism, but you were so helpful to me I wanted to return the favor. I hope it wasn't unwarranted. )

(And I might take you up on that partner thing, But I need a some time to rework my story a little. I'll reach out to you later ok.) :)

Thank you so much for such a kind and thoughtful comment!!!!

I really appreciate it.  I'd be happy to read and rate your vn. :)

Thank you for the feedback as well. You probably understand well that when you work on something for a while sometimes you become blind to it's flaws. The jarring tone shift was something I hadn't noticed in the slightest, I'll be sure to revise and expand this part of the story so it doesn't lose that emotional feel to it. I kinda started rushing and got a little panicky about not having something done in time. And all your text recommendation is great, I wanted to change the font but I'm kinda terrible at picking fonts. Lol.

I was really nervous to share this but your comment alone has made all the panic worth it. :)

(I hope you'll consider leaving a rating on it. No pressure though.)

Thank you so much for playing it! That makes you to first person to ever play something I've made! :) Thank you for the feedback, I'll keep working on this and make sure that the settings is easily accessible. As for the skipping that was intentional. I was trying to use fast text to help convey the emotion in certain scenes. Was that terribly annoying? I think it works really well in the mirror smash scene, but everywhere else it might not do what I was wanting it to do.

Really interesting! Makes you rack your brain for what's really going on outside the bathroom. I thought I knew what was going on and then she'd say something to throw that theory out the window. XD

My submission is up! It's called Look At Me.

Oh hey, I'm also doing a submission with a mirror antagonist. I'm definitely going to read yours when I'm done with mine. It looks fantastic. :)
