Hahaha thanks for playing man. This was my first ever game, and I gotta say looking at your video, pretty proud at what it was considering I had only been making games for like 2 months back then. You should check out my latest game, the demo actually got released yesterday. Here is the link - https://seaniemaurice.itch.io/the-mechanical-pencil-terrorist

The full demo of the game is now available and you can now reach the last section of the Waterfall and finish the demo off :)

Discord request sent. A lot of your classical pieces are close to the vibe we are going for a few scenes we have. I really like them.

Chat soon! (Hopefully our timeszones line up)

The first devlog towards making The Mechanical Pencil Terrorist, a game about game feel.

Hi everyone!

My team and I just released the first of many prototypes of our game En Route.  - https://seaniemaurice.itch.io/en-route

En Route is a first person survival shooter inspired by Faster Than Light. You play as a survivor traveling across Newer York, trying to reach Sanctuary to pass on news about a massive UAC (Unintelligent Aggressive Cannibal) horde heading in their direction.

This was a student project - any feedback is more than welcome! Leave us a comment :)

We recently got featured on Gamejolt and based on the decent following and support received from that platform, we will be continuing to develop the game over the coming months. I wanted to post here to spread the word of our game because feedback moving forward is going to be most useful.

Thanks for your time and support.

Stay safe this Xmas everyone!

Holy s**t the sound design in this is SO SO SO good! The mood is just lifted to something else!

Wow! As a first year uni games design student myself, a project like this is something to aspire towards. That was fantastic. I really really loved it and the overall aesthetic.
Will keep an eye out for your future projects :D

Really appreciate the reply! The game looks and feels fantastic, you have done something great here :)

Thank you for creating this game! The atmosphere and sound design is fantastic :)
The visuals are amazing, I would love to know what shader you used in Unity to create this effect. Would love to experiment with it for my student projects.

Neat lil game but the CTRL and R sometimes screws up the HTML player.

The game is finished and fully playable.

Understandably a few minor things like missing colliders. May iterate during another uni break, but at this point no updates needed.

Oh snap, super useful and I'm assuming also made by youself. Nifty! Thanks Iwan! I shall definitely have a look into this :)

Thanks for playing!  Damn! There's actually another collider missing next to the laundry as well I think. I made the build for the game and then backed it up, and as I was backing it up my files all corrupt themselves. So I can't go in and fix it up!! :O

Thanks for playing :)  - You had your back turned at the end there. May have filled in a blank for you.

I don't believe there is a limit. They are however, encouraging downgraded, low resolution or PS1 style graphics. There are a few really good tutorials on youtube, as well as a few neat PS1 effect on the unity asset store.
Trying to make a spoopy game, straying away from ultra realistic graphics is a pretty neat accomplishment.
Remember to avoid outright jumpscares and instead have a unique twist or a unique mechanic within your game.

Goodluck!
