Hi, I just realised I rudely forgot to thank you for your really useful feedback! So here it is - thank you! It's super great to hear that you liked the combination of a grid inventory and a deck builder!

Hey Coast City Games, thanks for playing and for the valuable feedback. You have provided like proper textbook feedback because everything you have highlighted is either on my list of things to do/fix or have been raised as issues by other playtesters which is really good that there seems to be a consensus on what needs changing!

Dang, this was sooooo much fun to play, I super got into this!!!! I am only sort of joking when I say I kind of want a voice over saying "Triple Kill" "Killing Spree!" as you get more combined kills. Super satisfying to play. Only feedback I'd give beyond asking to play more is I think the upgrades were a bit meh, I didn't feel super excited by them or like I was getting interestingly more powerful - I think there is a lot of room for some really interesting experimentation in that area. I could never quite figure out what the blocks/walls did and it was a bit unclear what was happening and the tutorial about the blocks seemed to flash up and be gone faster than I could read it - maybe a continue button their so people can read at their own pace might help? That has probably been my nicest surprise of the jam so far as I didn't have any major expectations but ended up really enjoying it and wanting to continue.

Oh, the music stopped at one point so I think that might be a bug or the music just ran out or something.

Hey Robert Rollins! I just gave this a play and really enjoyed it.

I am just going to do a list of comments, hope that is ok.

  • Teaching the player the mechanics with the first 3 levels was perfect, made complete sense and I basically immediately was able to play the game.
  • The audio is great
  • The visuals are simple but actually I really like them
  • Most of the puzzle design was enjoyable and I had a few of the "Oh thats how you do it" moments which is what you want from a puzzle game
  • I thought that the destroy option is a bit OP and might limit your design options as one of the puzzles I realised I just had to use destroy on all but one and it didn't feel like a great solution.
  • The difficulty ramped too quickly in my opinion.
  • I possibly could of done with a level to sort of teach me that the robots block the crates but it did feel cool to figure out - I guess you just need to see if the vast majority of people work it out on their own.

Overall, very enjoyable and I would defo play more!

Hey PolyB, thank you sooooo much for this playtest video, it is such an awesome play through to watch - I am 20 mins in and just really enjoying watching you play it. You've already given some amazing feedback (and found quite a few bugs lol!) so looking forward to watching the next 40 mins!  you're right about the mouse colour being inverted, it would defo make more sense the way you are suggesting. you're an absolute legend for doing such a detailed playtest!

Hey there, yeah I'm down for giving it another go for sure. I was thinking about this afterwards and I think I was so critical because it's so polished, like if this had been looking less polished then I think I would of been more accepting but because it looks like a finished game I kind of had the expectation that I would get super polished mechanics as well. Ping me on the IGC discord when you want it played as I don't look that often on here. I'm Samwidges in the discord by the way - sorry, I use different names all over the place because I am a bit disorganised lol.

I really enjoyed this - I didn't really know what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised! Here's my feedback.

- Which Flippers feel/work better? Top or Bottom?

Not sure I noticed a huge difference, the bottom ones felt maybe a bit laggy.

- Are there any elements you don't understand?

I didn't know what some of the unlocks/upgrades would do until they did it but I don't think that is an issue. Initially I didn't understand if I was expected to trigger active abilities. As the active abilities fire on their own, I'm not sure what is the difference between them and passive abilities.

I don't understand what causes the blackhole thing to form that takes you to another screen.

- Do you want to know more about certain elements?

yes, what causes the blackhole to form - is this something I control?

- What is your opinion on the weapon choice?

Ok, some are cool some are a bit meh - I think there was room for a bit more hectic-ness and carnage!

- What is the thing/aspect you like most?

Squishy who saves the ball from falling through and fires it back up - love that guy!

- What don't you like?

I would of like it to have been a bit more "juicy"

- How do you perceive the difficulty?

probably a bit too easy for too long - it didn't feel like there was much jeopardy.

- Is the game fair?

Yeah I think so, possibly too easy for too long?

- Do you normally enjoy other Pinball or Survivorlike Games?

Not massively, definitely not pinball, played some survivorlikes but not a go to genre for me.

Hey The Puzzle Wizard! I just played this - here's my feedback. This is a weird one for me as it is one of the most polished games I have played from the IGC discord and its well polished as well, not a polished turd but like a well made thing that is very polished but then at the same time there are a quite a few things that frustrated me with it and I ended up stopping pretty early. I think it has loads of potential but also needs some work as I found it sometimes unenjoyable to interact with (sorry if that sounds mean).

What was the most frustrating moment in what you experienced?

I actually found a few things frustrating so I am going to say a few things here - sorry but hopefully you find this helpful. The tutorial was quite irritating and intrusive - I think the way it dropped out as if it was done and then popped back like a second later was really annoying after a while as you never knew when it was actually finished. The recipe making and shopping and the general interaction with the inventory was frustrating - I really wanted to just be able to pick up an item and move it around, seems like the main way you use grid based inventories but in this game clicking on it made it move over automatically and I didn't seem to be able to rearrange and rotate etc. I found the camera controls a bit frustrating and weird.

What was your favorite part of the game?

Visuals and general level of polish. I also liked that the Grandma called me sweetie at the beginning :-) I think this is a really charming game and has lots of potential

Was there anything you wanted to do, but the game didn’t let you?

Easily pick stuff up and move it around etc in the inventory, it kept just jumping across which was super annoying.

If you had a magic wand where you could change any part of the game, regardless of cost or complexity, what would you add/change/remove?

Basically to change the things that I said were frustrating above.

What would you say you were doing in the game?

Running an ice cream stall

How would you describe the game to friends and family?

A game about making ice cream and selling it and an ice cream stall

Hi There, I struggled to understand what was going on with this but I am glad I persevered as this is actually pretty awesome and has loads of potential! I think the first murder mystery is super unclear - there is a red dude standing in the wardrobe who you can see through the slats which made me assume he was the culprit - I don't know why the culprit and murder weapon were what they were - I just guessed. The second one was a little frustrating because I got the victim and murder weapon right but the culprit was someone different and I don't know why it was them - the murder weapon was on the hip of someone else in one of the scenes so that was who I assumed the culprit was. The third one with the camera was where I was simultaneously like - this is awesome and holy moly, there are waaaaay to many options for me to chose from here! Its so open with the camera that it gets very overwhelming quickly - I don't understand why there are multiple picture slots in the inspection thingy, am I expected to combine photos and inspect them together? I think you need a mechanic to let the player know what is a valid photo target or at least once they have taken the photo, whether it is worth inspecting, otherwise the options are basically endless!

An idea I just had was what if instead you had like one of those investigation boards like the image attached and clicking on different pins takes you to different scenes and then you have to use the camera to populate the empty photos on the board for each pin and that slowly reveals the story and then from that you figure out who the culprit/murder weapon/victim is as it would give you a framework of photos you need to find in each scene. Not sure if any of that makes sense and its just a random idea. Basically, I think you need to give the player a framework to use the camera in as its too vast at the moment.

Hey Sir Cheese, I just played this and really enjoyed it - love me a puzzle game! I got to 2-8 before clicking off the game to do something and when I came back my controller wasn't working so I stopped as it was a bit tedious using the mouse (keyboard wasn't working either for some reason).

Only real feedback I would give is:

1) I would enjoy a few more mechanics to start to be sprinkled in like the squares where you have to go through them in a certain direction with a certain colour - I'm sure you got some stuff cooking, it was just starting to get a bit repetitive by the end and I was ready for some additional challenges.

2) I think it could do with some more palette cleansing puzzles i.e. some easier puzzles after particularly difficult ones - like it felt pretty linear in difficulty gain which can become a bit wearing in puzzles games.

Besides those two things it is pretty gosh darn awesome - definitely needs to be on Ipad as that is where I would play this.

Howdy, I Just played this and here's my feedback.

What was the most frustrating moment in what you experienced?

The movement and swapping between states - if I could change states instantly then I would of had more of a chance maybe to get through walls as I was heading in that direction but because you are basically bouncing all over the place and it takes time to change state it seems really hard to pass through the wall you want to pass through...hope that makes sense.

What was your favorite part of the game?

Audio was nice and I like the concept of using quantum mechanics in some cool way to navigate a maze....I know that is two things lol.

Was there anything you wanted to do, but the game didn’t let you?

Yes, change state immediately and have more control....I know, I did two things again.

If you had a magic wand where you could change any part of the game, regardless of cost or complexity, what would you add/change/remove?

Increase my control over what was going on - it felt almost random but I did start to get things slightly moving but it was pretty frustrating and I wasn't sure if I was doing something of things were just randomly going where I wanted.

What would you say you were doing in the game?

Trying to navigate/pass through the walls of a maze.

How would you describe the game to friends and family?

A game about navigating a maze where you have very limited control over what happens.

Heyho! I think I must of hit a bug (excuse the pun lol) because my count in the corner just stopped going up on both runs I tried. I ended up using the cheats to check it out and some of the upgrades are really cool - seeing the little dudes running around collecting stuff is a nice touch. If someone hadn't played an incremental game before they may struggle to understand why the game seemingly just keeps ending - I think some sort of popup or countdown etc is needed. The research tree is really impressive in how extensive and varied it is. The laser needs juicing up as it is pretty unsatisfying at the moment - it kind of made me think of PVKK and that is super mega when it fires - I get they are different games (captain obvious over here) but the premise is similar.

What a lovely game! Super impressive stuff!

I really enjoyed this once I figured out how to play it.

I ran out of time so balancing the game didn't really happen....anyway, thanks for playing!

The theme is 3...2...1 - however you want to interpret that...

Great job, really well put together, especially for it being made in only 1 week!
