I can join you for the project if you are still looking for one.

This game very much reminded of 1991's Road rash.. Very slick and clean design  and the sounds are very satisfying..

I accidently stumbled into this game.. The control is so tight and super smooth...And really like the sounds effects damn they are super pleasing...

Hey..Are you still looking for a pixel artist..? I can join in if you want help with that..

ABOUT:

The game is small prototype made during a Game Jam as a University project.

It is a side scrolling platformer where you try to survive by demolishing everything on sight..

Feel free to test it out .I am open to any critics and suggestions. And if you want me to test your game can pm me too..

Thank you..Yeah  i have the main mechanics down but i am struggling with the narrative itself..I will update the latest version soon as the new dialogues have been placed..

Thank you!!

Since most of the mechanics in the game were coded. and the second version of prototype was quite promising, I decided work on the visuals.

Started with the mood board..The moodboard was based on the two game i am currently playing Dead Cells and Valfaris. I really liked the art style and  lighting in those game... but the problem is those are fast paced action game.. while the game i am going for is bit laid back..(need to be dealt with)

Current version of game.

Finally Settled with my design Choices..And created my own character asset and used different free asset pack from unity and used some 3D elements in the game..

(Note That the object in prototype doesn't represent the actual characters or object in the game. Used for only testing purposes. The  transition ninja character represents a boat in the actual game. The frog represent the bear. Spike represents the plant or the flower)

Things achieved on day 1:

Controller Script

Dialogue System

Character switch to boat Script when in lake.

Trigger event loaders

Basic prototype scene from Free assets.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To do list Day 2:

Write Dialogue Script as in the narrative itself

Create a game loop to go to the next stage

Create Assets

[Already made a pixel style character but not happy with it will go for 2D Storybook like Illustration]

Prototyped  some of the game mechanics using Unity and using unity free assets.

Player controller works!!

Dialogue system bit buggy!!

Boat script needs to be implemented

Still not sure to do in 2D or 3D..As I find it more easier to design in 3d Space...

Starting late in this Game Jam and decided to work solo for this project..Finally having the semester break and missed the GMTK games jam i saw this Game Jam was also very interesting. So, Here i am..

As for now i first worked out with the story narrative timeline.

I have decided to go with the Theme Changes and show a narrative of boy who goes through different stages of his life and experiences  changes around him. The story highly focus on impact of pollution and display his outcomes.

Hope it all comes together in time.

Things to be done for today.

1. Mood board (2D or 3D)

2. Mechanics Breakdown( Code requirement analysis)

3. Create Schedule and set milestones

4. Set Required Features, Desired Features and Wish list Features

5. If there is till time code the  character controller and dialogue script

winicius2 Sure!! Have a blast..

Nice..wow its awesome how the color mechanics changes the  linear game play..Bro tyo next platform ko color randomly jump garne agi ra land garne bela arkai change huncha..tyo intentional ho? Other than that really good game.

Haha.. thanks bro

Thank you. I will check him out for sure.

Really cool and funny... the story really plays out well with the game play..

Its not working for me. Unityplayer.dll is missing

Really nice game...wish the power ups would be more visible though...
