Idea I've been thinking about for months, would love some honest feedback before I build it.

I'm a regular Letter Boxed player and I always wished there was a way to get the day's letters automatically and have it solved right away, instead of checking and typing them in manually every time.

The solving part is simple. Find words using only the box letters, never two letters in a row from the same side, and chain words until all letters are used. That part I can build myself, no problem.

What I'm stuck on is getting the daily puzzle letters without typing them in by hand every single day. There's no public API for this, so it would mean pulling info from the page itself, which feels risky and I'm not totally sure if that's okay to do.

Has anyone here tried something similar before, pulling daily data from a site with no API? Or is manual entry just the safer way to go? Really just trying to see if this idea makes sense before I spend time building it.

Quick note for anyone who hasn't heard of it, Letter Boxed is a daily word puzzle from the New York Times, and a bunch of websites share the daily answers for people who get stuck.

Love this idea.. Letter Boxed has such an underrated mechanic.. the constraint of using letters from different sides adds a layer that most word games miss. A jam around this concept with twists like time limits or co-op could be really interesting. Would definitely follow any entries that come out of this.

Anyone here play NYT Letter Boxed daily? Curious what strategies you use... do you start with long words or short ones to use up all the sides faster?

Haha love the grandpa quote.. some days the words are just too obscure.  FLUGELHORN was today's and I had zero chance without help.

This looks fun. Love the time pressure twist. Daily word challenges are addictive..  would like to try this.

Congrats on the release! Crossword and Letter Boxed are my fav games... always looking for more word puzzle options to add to the rotation.
