Excellent game! The instructions are great. There's one thing that could be improved though. When the enemy sends a lot of black orbs, they can be deflected by pressing all the keys. I think it could be avoided by shooting the white orbs in pairs with the black ones (one black orb and one white at the same time).

Thanks!

I love the parry! It looks great, sounds great and the reaction of enemies to it feels good. On the other hand, the camera movement is terrible, and it made me quit the game. One more small thing, you got the left and right click mixed up in the in-game hints.

Your game page looks awesome and the game too! I'm a bit disappointed that this isn't a story game. I was expecting a grand tale after the initial cutscene. The game mechanics are good, I just wish I could crouch to hit those slimes. Also, I appreciate the controller support. One more thing, the game shouldn't allow me to kill myself by throwing away the last crystal.

Good game! I had fun even though it isn't what you aimed for.

The game looks nice and the basics are there, but it lacks the minor things that make games feel good to play. I didn't notice any coyote time, double jump after not jumping does almost nothing, camera moves too fast after switching directions, the player sticks to the walls, the jump height is much much higher when pressed twice in quick succesion, the dialogue repeats after every death.

I hope my little bit more critical feedback can help you improve your future games.

The web build still crashes on the bossfight.

Out of curiosity, why was the game submitted by 6 people, but only 5 are listed?

Help! I can't jump over the pit after the second moving platform. The gameplay idea is good, but the execution could be a bit better. Attack can be spammed to instantly kill any mobs and the UI scaling could be improved.

Interesting concept . I was surprised that the turrets can aim in a complete darkness! The 1st wave of the 3rd level was a great challenge, otherwise it was too easy.

I don't know how to play this game. After using any item in the hotbar the character won't shoot.

The UI is not fully visible. You might want to enable a fullscreen button in the game's settings on itch.io. I think it could help.

Cool idea. I like that you included some story. Unfortunately, I got stuck on level where the torch is surrounded by a void. Any hints? Also you forgot to mention that the levels can be reset with R :).

Great game. I enjoyed it.

Thanks for the feedback. The light splitting block splits the beam into two with half the intensity of the original one and therefore the beams have to be recombined.  I hoped that the players will gain understanding of how it works in the previous level.

Good game, but I couldn't finish it. How am i supposed to beat the spiral like level?

Thank you.

The art and the music are amazing.

Cool game. I can't stop throwing away the blender when flipping through the book.

The soundtrack is good. The movement is tedious and the map is too large. Deleting the old light, when a new one is about to be placed, would be in my opinion a better solution than waiting for the old one to go out.

Great game! The only thing that was missing was an ending.

The game looks great, the sfx and music are also good, but the gameplay feels unfinished. The light orb does not seem to deal damage the enemies. Can the enemies even do something else than to walk or to die?

Cool idea.  The visual effects are nice. IMO the game needs more types of enemies because fighting the same 2 types until the boss spawns gets a bit boring. Other small things that could be improved: the floor texture does not tile :'(, and it's uncomfortable to read the text at the beginning of the game.

The game looks good. Hovewer, it feels a bit slow, especially at the start of every round. I got stuck after being unable to cancel the purchase of the 7th wizard.

Awesome! I like the creative way of matching the them. But I can't navigate the menu with A, D, J, and K, which makes it unplayable (0/10*) xD.

*not an actual score given to this game

Could you check my game out? Here is the link https://itch.io/jam/gbjam-11/rate/2279286

Solid game. There are two things you could improve: the selected item slot is quite hard to differentiate and I got stuck in front of a fisherman's hut after interacting with the door.

The box art looks so cool. It's unfortunate you were unable to finish the game.

Really interesting idea. The game needs a bit more polish though. For example, I coudn't see sometimes where I am jumping because the camera was too high up and the shooting mechanic wasn't explored properly.

Awesome soundtrack!

Thanks for playing the game. You wouldn't need a mouse, if the menu worked like intended. Thanks for letting me know, because I havent't encountered this bug before. If you move the mouse off the buttons before they appear or use a controller, it doesn't occur.

I forgot to mention how to navigate the UI in my game, and that some of the controls are mapped on a controller.

Sorry, I should have been more clear about the control scheme. The A, B, X and Y are controls for a controller, so they don't do anything when you press them on a keyboard. I also forgot to metion that you should use arrow left (A on a controller) to click on a selected button and arrow right to go back (B on a controller).

Great and challenging game. The difficulty is well set. Maybe the level is a bit too long; it's difficult to not make a mistake for such a long time.

The music is great. I don't like the RNG based gameplay though.

In my opinion, a single button to select and drop blocks should have been used because I always press the wrong one :).

Everything is great except for the gameplay. I can't understand what's the difference between left and right punch or dodging to the left or to the right. Maybe the gameplay mechanics are just not explained properly. Sometimes the combo attack won't start with the bar filled.

Great game! I had a lot of fun playing it.

Great game. I especially liked animation of the blocks breaking.

Good game, but there are some minor flaws. The space in the background seems to use more colours than 4, and I have to use mouse to click on the buttons.

I'm sorry that you feel dissapointed after playing the game. I have replayed the last level, and the game acknowledged my solution. Could you provide me with a screenshot of your solution, please? By the way, according to the internet there was actually a '3D' game for game boy called Faceball 2000 (I haven't played it though).

Thank you for playing the game and the feedback.  I had discovered the map elevation error just after submitting the game, since it was an issue related to the web build. I'm glad you gave the game another chance, and that you could play it in it's fixed form.
