Hi, I’m a Veterinarian graduate (not yet licensed). I review animal content in games, stories, blogs, and other creative work so creatures feel believable and grounded.

Experience: I’ve worked with several game developers and am currently working with someone who is developing a TTRPG.

Why it matters: Games and stories don’t need to be realistic, but many players and readers enjoy it when a creature feels like it could actually exist, whether it’s a real animal or a fictional one.

What I can review:

  • Behavior (feeding, movement, social structure)
  • Habitat and ecology
  • Anatomy and how a body suits an animal’s lifestyle
  • Consistency for fictional creatures
  • Certain strengths and weaknesses of a creature

How to start: Send me one or two creatures (or a link to your project) and I’ll write a short trial review. If you’d rather ask a few questions about the animal parts of your work, that works too. Send it via my email rapalynreview012@gmail.com or you can comment your discord handle so I can reach you out.

Rates: Based on scope, and I’m happy to work with indie budgets.

This is for games and fiction only, not advice about real animals’ health.

Hey, ive been reading some of your post and wondering if you need help in animal related things. I offer animal content review to make animal related things in the game grounded, believable or accurate. My portfolio is in my profile if youre interested

Hi, I’m Rapalyn, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine graduate (not yet licensed) offering animal biology content review for games, creatures, and fiction, to make them feel more grounded and more believable. This is for games and stories only, not advice about real animals’ health.

I love games like Warcraft 3 and Pokémon. In Warcraft 3 it’s the lore and the rich world, and in Pokémon it’s the small real-biology details that anyone who knows animals notices right away. I know games are about escaping reality, but players do appreciate details borrowed from real animals. If your project has animals, pets, or creatures, I can handle the research so you can focus more on building your project.

What I can review: realistic animal behavior, habitats, anatomy, and consistency for fictional creatures. You choose how realistic you want it to be. I give you details and suggestions you can use, tweak, or twist.

Rates are flexible and adjusted by region, similar to Steam’s regional pricing, so devs in different countries can afford them. Let’s discuss it beforehand.

I’ll do a free short sample review so you can see how it works. Comment your Discord handle and your creature list or game link, and I’ll get in touch with you.

Hi, I’m Rapalyn, a Freelance Vet (not licensed yet) who loves games like Warcraft 3 and Pokémon. What draws me in this kind of game is the lore like the story in Warcraft 3, and the real-biology details that anyone who knows animals notices right away in Pokemon. I know the point of these games is escaping the real world, and nothing has to be realistic. But players do enjoy details borrowed from real animals. If you are researching for any animal, pet, or monster related content in your game, I can offer my service to review them for free.

EXAMPLE OF WHAT I CAN DO

I can look into natural behaviours, habitats, species, how animals interact in the wild, and other real-world details you can borrow or twist for fantasy creatures. You can choose how realistic you wanted it to be, I'm just here to give you details and suggestions on how to make your creatures more believable and grounded since games doesn't have to be always following the real life logic of animal biology and anatomy.

THE DEAL

Again, I'm doing this for free because I want to build up a portfolio so I can take jobs, collaborations, and commissions to other people with animal or creature related niche. All I ask for is credit and permission to show the work afterward as my portfolio for my future freelancing activities.

If you guys are interested, please comment your discord handle and I will be in touch of you. Slots are limited so I can't really take a lot of tasks right now due to my real life activities. Thank you very for the opportunity.
