Yeah, that completely slipped my mind. The rules stated that the game itself count be based around it, and as it's just one image I thiiiink i'm fine, but it should have been addressed. Note to self : don't make decisions like that at 5 am.

WAIT HUH. FR? I just remembered one of the jam's past where one of the games was a game where every texture was Mark and I thought it was ok if It was just for lighthearted comedy. Damn it man. 5 AM decision making does stuff ig.

Thank you for playing it! I had a few friends playtest it and some found it too easy, so I did what I really shouldn't have done and upped the difficulty without playtesting it. I let one of them have another run-through and I can confirm it is possible, though I agree it is way harder than it should be.

Protip: pressing "N" skips the level and goes to the next :)

Nope its a friend lol. And yes the falling system is a mess rn. I would like to make a full version of this game with different patients and game styles and Im currently re-doing the falling system

Cute little tower climber! Only main thing I noticed is that you can land on slimes and will continually take damage while standing on them, and it doesn't let you jump off. Other than that, fun game!

I was hoping nobody would find that lol. In the first picture its because the ground check for the player is a pixel less the width, the second picture is me just sucking at collisions

Yes, I used Unity and their Universal Render Pipeline. This way I could use the 2D render which has 2D lights. In their, I could a script to my world called a shadow caster, which allows you to see shadows of objects based on light hitting them, giving me the cool boxy shadows in the world. Hope this helps!

Idk if u guys know, but Among us 2 was canceled. They are going to focus on just adding content to Among Us 1 because they don't want to split the playerbase

Wow, this is probably the first time I've seen someone record and upload gameplay of any of my games! Watched the video, and i'm glad you enjoyed the game!

Edit : Thought you meant a different section. Yah, you prob had the max dashes for that section. I tried to make it easy, but I guess I failed. Try to improve it after rating period

Yeah, for the part you got stuck at, you had to explore and look for more dashes to get past it. Could have done a better job at making it easier for navigation. The little white arrows you see are supposed to indicate how many dashes you need, but I didn't really do a good job at indicating that. As for the music, it was my first time making music for a game in general, so it's nice that you liked it. And yeah, the limitation was there, but the theme was kind of bs'd at the end. Rushed development makes you cut corners in some places.

If im being honest, the theme was kind of bs'ed at the end. There was an error that killed me for some odd hours and stopped me from finishing the ending, which would have completed the theme. Glad you enjoyed the game, though!

This I really cool little game! Somehow, you made physics-heavy movement not feel slippery and fun to control. The core game play is interesting and allows for free vertical movement, which was utilized well. Good Job!

It isn't a problem. The pc version was made to be the better way to play, (imho) so it would make sense it would cost money. It's the same reason bedrock minecraft on phones costs less than bedrock  minecraft on PC

I honestly don't know. When playtesting, it was perfect, but when it was built, some lvels bugged out, while others didnt

I'm confused. The main control scheme IS WASD. That's what i used for playtesting, and that is what i use to play it today.  I don't think I even knew I could play with arrow keys. The rushed tutorial I put in the pirst level tells the player to move with WASD. Also, I used all of my 48h, Aug 15 to Aug 17.  If, for some reason, you can only play with arrow keys, it might be bugged for you. A simple game screen restart should fix it.

Edit : I'm stupid. I just realized what that 48h comment meant. I think I have like 10h left. I'm going to work on it some more, but don't expect anything great, exempt for more levels, and better balance.

exactly! I had the idea for a platformer where your a guy on a casette tape thats always rewinding, so you have too keep moving, or it will push you off

remember, you still have 4 days, you can always resubmit your game by changing the page you submitted, its nothing to panic about, happened to me too once, where I had a giant bug, but i had more time and resubmitted (this was in UGJ, not this jam) Just go to ur dashboard and resubmit a build :)

if it ties into the gameplay or story, and not just "oh music rewinding," I dont see why not

Not that i know of. You simply  build the project as an apk, with some specific settings, then you can sideload it manually or using sidequest

yeah but some poeple dont have a pc powerful enough for it

This is a really cool concept and good execution! There are a few problems however. Some levels can be beaten it a matter of seconds with no deaths, while others(the last one specifically) can take upwards of twenty deaths and can take a while to beat. The big problem are the physics when the screen is rotating, as often you physically can't move, which wouldn't be a problem, but because you keep on shooting, your bullets hit you when you are physically incapable of dodging them. Nitpicks aside, it's a very cool game with a lot of potential, I feel!

Very cool concept and good execution!

Very interesting and fun, though there is a very steep difficulty curve. Overall, good game!

Someone already left a comment that perfectly summed up the game in my opinion. It's a great idea that has lots of potential, and its good that a game jam got a great idea out of you! However, it could have used some more time in the oven, but, since the jam is over, you have some time, I assume. Still had lots of fun playing it, however, and, at the end of the day, we are here to have fun(at least i hope we are)

Thanks for the feedback! So far that is a very big issue. Had a friend play the game, he couldn't talk to me while playing because he had to take his headphones off...

Thanks for the review! There was originally a bug where you could damage the enemies when the game was paused, so, because of that, i discovered the strategy you did. Difficulty curves are something i'm still trying to figure out, so your feedback really does help.

Glad you liked it! Right now i'm working on my own solo project, and don't have any plans to expand on this game, but, if I have any free time, I might come back to it!

Great Music, Great Art, but the mechanics were kinda weird to figure out, and even when i did, i felt there was a massive difficulty spike near the beginning. Either that or I just suck, which I probably do. either way, good game!

Good design, nice physics, overall, good job!

Thanks for the Feedback! Your game was very polished too!

Graphics, the dashing, the level design, its all SO good! Can't wait for part 2!

This is one of the best game jam games i think I've played! The level design, the controls, the mechanics all come together into one beautiful package. This is incredible!

Jimmy's character development thought this game is incredible. But in all seriousness, its a simple,    if slightly unoriginal, 2D platformer! Graphics could be better, but it kinda has it's own style to it.

Nice, simple, and fun game! The gravity switching is a little slow, but that makes it a different game all about positioning and planning. Great Music too!

Glad you like it!

I like it! The Concept is unique and fits the theme. The gravity and physics are somewhat clunky, but that can be worked around. The sound effects are good, but feels kinda dull without any music or ambient noise of some kind. The main game-play is fast-passed and hard, and the randomly generated levels keeps it repayable. Also, i'm a sucker for minimal graphics. Overall, good game, and I commend you for finishing!
