Pretty neat game. I liked the mini-game. I'd be curious to see what a non-jam version looked like, but this was a solid entry. Good job!

This was enjoyable. The requirements felt a bit steep, but the overall vibe was good. This has some potential. Good work!

Not a bad little jam game. I struggled a bit with the final day, but it was interesting enough to keep me trying it. There's lot of room for neat stuff here. Keep up the good work!

Pretty interesting setup, even if it wasn't immediately obvious what needed to be done. I couldn't decide if there was a clear win/lose condition or if you were just going at for a more zen approach. The tile interactions were complex enough to keep things interesting, but definitely need some sort of in-game guide for. Overall, I think there's a lot of potential here and I liked the vibe, though. Keep it up!

Yeah, it happens in the web build
 https://streamable.com/vm3h0w
It seems to be related to losing focus of the web player, so it might not be anything you can solve on your own. Not sure how much Godot exposes in that way. As a side note, I tried the Linux build, too, but the game wouldn't load properly. The intro sequence is just grey with some of the noise and it seems to stall out before it loads the main menu screen/the song.

Thanks for trying it out. I appreciate the kind words and that you connected with it, even though it was challenging to learn how to play.
Agreed, honestly. I included some images to hint at specific things in the "guide" but I wasn't super explicit with some of the descriptions. I had fully planned to integrate a more proper ramp up, but life happens and I ran out of time. The lack of visual/audio feedback for a lot of things doesn't help, either. I've spent some time after submission tweaking some of that to inject breathing room into the phases of the turn, add "something" for sound, and a bit of visual feedback, but it will have to wait until after the voting period is over (and I get a proper on-boarding process in place) for me to push the update. Might take me a while with life and such 🫠

Yeah, the on-boarding is a bit rough. There's the "Learn" button on the title screen and the same stuff pulls up when you press the pause button, but it's sort of a general purpose guide and not really set up as a proper tutorial or anything. It definitely needs some love in that area. Thanks for checking it out!

KB+M. Yeah, it was a bummer. I'll probably play the game again after voting is over. I'm no sure what happened. I think, perhaps, I was holding the aim button down as I entered the purple area and it maintained the state in some way. I could still press the button to aim, after the glitch, but it wouldn't let the camera view change. It was just locked in one direction. Unfortunately, even with the masterful power of Rick O'Shea, you can only get so far if you can't adjust the angle. (😅 though, I did try for about 5 minutes to complete any objectives I could with the locked camera)

This was a pretty neat experience. I think the controls/physics could use some work. On the keyboard, the throttle up/down don't seem to be very responsive at all and took a lot of getting used to. That said, there's a lot of potential here and I love a flying game, so I still think you did a good job overall. Keep at it!

Haha, yeah... I knew I didn't have a ton of time, so i tried to get the mid-line balance. It's challenging if you're just picking up the game for the first time, but still somewhat interesting even if you know the mechanics inside and out (in my opinion anyway). I'm glad you vibed off of it. I was definitely going for the "you're behind the screen" thing. Thanks for playing it!

This was well done. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I would definitely play more of this if there were more levels! Good job.

I appreciate you taking the time to try it out! I'm glad you like it.

I think this is the first entry that has made me laugh so far. Good job! I look forward to seeing more "unholy" creations in the future.

Nice vibes overall. The dialogue thing tripped me up for a bit in the beginning, but it had good atmosphere. Good job submitting something!

Pretty neat concept. I would have played more, but I ran into a bug as it loaded the second level and I couldn't rotate Rick around. I'd probably play a more fleshed out version of this, though. Keep it up!

The style of this game works really well. I found it a bit easy and barely ever used the zoom feature, but I think you have a lot of potential here. Keep at it!

This was well done. It could use a bit of balance in some places, but you accomplished a lot in a little while. I would love to play this more, but it's time to rate others! 😅

I'm not ashamed to admit it took me a while to understand how to navigate. 😅
You did good work here. I like the overall vibes. I definitely felt a bit of the anxiety when lost in the forest. Overall, I think you have something enjoyable here, even if VN games aren't really my thing. Keep it up!

This is a great start to something that could be a chill little experience. A bit of polish to contrast certain things and make them stand out better would go a long way, but overall, I think you nailed it. Keep up the good work!

I love the vibe of this game a lot, even though I couldn't get very far with it. My only real complaint is the footer text not having a contrast border to make it readable in all environments. Most of the time, it's not so bad, but given it's your interaction cue with the world, it shouldn't be hard to read. Overall, you did great work here. I'd love to play a more updated post-jam version if you stick with it. Good stuff.

This is neat. It's been a while since I've played a game with this kind of movement system. The vibes work well and the dice rolling mechanic is interesting. This would make a great foundation for a larger project if you push at it. Keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks for that. ☺️ I think so, too!

Thanks for the kind words and for playing it. I agree (I'm a bit biased) that it works surprisingly well. It even surprised me when I first landed on it properly around day 3. I'm glad the feeling was captured well enough that you could pick up on it. I tried to lean into certain experiences a bit more than others. Some landed, some didn't. I'm happy to see that the tension and inability to control everything seems to be sticking well, though. 😅

This is a pretty neat little entry. I could see myself mindlessly playing this from time to time if it were a bit more fleshed out. Good job.

This is interesting. I wasn't ever able to get very far with it, but I liked the vibe. I'd probably play it for fun, if I understood the mechanics and controls a bit better.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for trying it out!

Not a bad little game. I always enjoy an interesting Tetris twist. Good job!

Thanks for checking it out! I also like to watch the Ghost move around 😅

Honestly, not a bad start for being so new. It would be interesting to see what you come up with if you keep going with it. Keep up the good work. I bet you learned tons while doing this!

This was a great jam experience. Solid entry all around. The only real flaw I found with it was the lack of levels!

Great little zen puzzler. I honestly wanted more levels when I was done with it. Keep up the good work!

This turned out pretty well, once I managed to get past the dev console stuff that wouldn't go away in the beginning. The simplicity was appealing and it's a genre I'm already a fan of, so it was an easy win. Overall, a great jam entry. Good work!

Nice job on this! I had fun zooming around. There seems to be a glitch with one of the sound effects causing it to stutter a bit from time to time, but I like the sounds and music a lot. The concept is interesting, but I was a bit confused initially. Once I figured out how the color tethering worked and what kinds of things resulted in a game over from experience, I was kind of hooked. There's lots of potential here if you dive into it more. Keep up the good work!

Haha, yeah, I almost deliberately avoided Synty since it's more of a safety blanket. I wanted to make something a bit different than I usually experiment with and this gave me a chance to be as ruthless as possible with scope while maintaining the core identity of the original idea. I think it turned out pretty well, all things considered, and I'm definitely planning to keep it up and push at least one more update for it after the voting period ends.

I'm glad that it landed in something of an inspirational way for you. I'd be glad if it helped you discover something along the way. Thanks for playing it! ☺️

Hey, thanks for the kind words and for playing it! If you like it even in this broken state, you'll probably like the updated version which will come out after the voting period ends. I've been toiling away off and on to inject a bit of breathing room into the turn flow, add sounds, and so on.

I understand that it is hard to digest. Honestly, it even took me a few times to start remembering how things work and I'm the one that made it! 🤣 The guide helps a bit, but it's not very explicit with some things and it's a lot of text. There's a fair bit of complexity and depth there, but it definitely needs a bit more of a gentle intro. I'm hoping a more proper tutorial will help things out (hopefully coming with the first update), and that the improved turn flow and feedback will help reinforce things. I might add a quick summary tab that outlines things more explicitly, too, given the feedback I've gotten so far. Thanks for the push!

Yeah, I agree. It isn't so bad when you're familiar with the mechanics, but I didn't get to the point where I smoothed out flow. It suffers because of it. The local build I have is already addressing this. I could probably get away with pushing it up now, since it's just tweaking some numbers to fix a bug, really, but I would have to roll back a lot of the other stuff I've done to be ready for the build I push up after voting period ends.

Thanks for playing it! 😌

This was interesting. I like experimental stuff. I'm curious how much more gamey it could actually get, to be honest. I wasn't even aware stuff like this could be done with video on YouTube. 😅

Ah, yes... a game with troll achievements. My favorite. 🤡

(1 edit)

Heh... yeah, it's a bit wordy. Honestly, I'm regretting not stripping the text down to bare game mechanics at this point, since I didn't get to roll out the tutorial phase and it lacked other kinds of feedback. It's definitely a bit deep for a typical jam game. 😅

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad I'm it was interesting. I also like to lean in directions I don't think many others will for jams. It's a great chance to stretch creativity ☺️
