Hi not sure if it's an issue with my machine or not but it runs very choppy. I struggle to get even 30 frames. Average is 20 or below.

Ah yeah unfortunately that was a bug we didn't manage to fix before the jam ended. The trick to not fall out of the track is to stay in the middle and right lanes. Seems to only happen in the left lane.

Hi ReKuZa Studio. Thanks for the reply.  No worries, I'm a total newb when it comes to programming. Doing a lot of it through tutorials and forum posts I've found online. What do you mean by onclick in that rough code? It's not for a player character correct?

Info:

Radiogenic Games is a small team of three (design, art, story) following our dream of making compelling and unique video games that you can’t put down.

We are currently looking for a programmer with experience implementing gameplay driven systems within Unity, primarily to do with enemy AI, combat, and puzzles.

All prospective members must be familiar with GitHub and how to make a WebGL build. Experience with UI is a bonus.

As long as you are sticking to the tasks you were assigned and getting them done each week you don't have to worry about working a specific set amount of time. Just be available to respond to anyone's questions or feedback about your work or to provide your own feedback to others. And of course don't miss the weekly meetings.

Learn more about us and play our demo here: http://www.radiogenicgames.com/

  • Work with teammates to design, implement, and test various gameplay systems such as (but not limited to): AI, Combat, Puzzles, Light & Dark Mechanics, Health System, HUD, Procedural Generation, Inventory and Item System
  • Write professional code that supports the existing game and all future gameplay systems
  • Attend weekly team meetings once a week to discuss progress on the game
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of tasks and provide feedback to others on theirs
  • Keep in contact with team members via Slack and Discord
  • Playtest and fix bugs

Requirements

  • At least a year of programming experience (professional or high quality personal projects/modding)
  • Experience with AI and creating smart enemy systems
  • Creative and free thinking, no such thing as impossible
  • 2 - 3 high quality work samples or a link to an online portfolio
  • Proactive communicator
  • Don’t need to be micromanaged
  • Detailed oriented

Bonus Points

  • Experience with marketing and social media
  • Experience with procedural generation
  • Experience with UI

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

A. What do you mean jump control seems to be glitched when not running? I'm not sure what you mean?

B. Fixed this in the newest build. Check it out!

Hey ^densch  sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the feedback.

Checkout the newest build! Checkpoints are now in and you get a torch earlier so you have time to realize it'll go out before you get to the traps again.

Ok I posted a new build. Are you still experiencing the same problem?

Hey SkyCharger. Thanks for the heads up. :). Really appreciate the feedback.

I'm working on getting a new build up this week so I'll see what I can due to fix those issues. I'm getting a bit of lag in the editor recently as well so it may be a deeper issue. Optimization maybe. Definitely needs to be fixed so it can actually be played the way it was meant to.

I'm no programmer so may take some time.
