Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it! About the deterministic engine, it really does get worse with a speedup greater than 2 haha, I think I also know why... And about the reset system, this one's tricky. I really want the player to keep their progress,I guess I have to punish restarts more somehow because yes, after 1 reset the game gets too easy. I'll have to come up with something. Congrats on that perfect run btw. !

This is such a cool game! It has some really great and expansive world building. And it really makes you feel like a dark lord, making those decisions and seeing them actually affect the whole world, combined with random events that just happen and require you to improvise makes this game feel very immersive! Great job!

Defendustry is Tower Defense game with major resource management aspects and an evil cockroach.

You build towers and factories to supply your towers with ammunition and defend against many different machines!

In contrast to other tower defense games, you don't loose all of your towers when you let too many enemies through.

This is my first try at making a tower defense game, and honestly, making tower defense games is really fun! I could change all the things I didn't like about the tower defense games I played, and add more of the stuff I love. I especially tried to mitigate the issue where the player would just sit back and watch their towers work. This doesn't work in Defendustry, or at least I tried my best to occupy the player with constant challenge.

All of this aside, I would love to hear about your thoughts on this game!

This, is what I mean when I tell someone about peak indie games.
Gameplay: 10/10
Story: 10/10
Polishing: Never saw something more polished.

Very cool game!

One thing I would add would be an indicator for wich tile you are currently interacting with when holding a Pickaxe/Axe/Shovel (every tool used for world editing)

Thank you for your feedback! The lore/dialog starts at about lvl 10, maybe this is too far back so people mistake the game for just a crystal collecting platformer. could you tell me after what level you stopped playing or what made it boring for you?

Great game, had a lot of fun playing it!
The gameplay is great, and very satisfying.
Feedback:

-You did mention that you have not included any sounds, if you are planing on improving this game you should totaly add some sounds when hitting an enemy this would make this game even more satisfying.

-Make it more aparent that you have to hit the blue gems in some of the enemys, took me a while to figure that out you could for example add some red outline with a shader to gems that where not collected(e.g. are in an enemy)

-The map size is fine, but you should maybe add some feedback for the player so he knows that he is reaching the map limit

-Enemy variety, this is something you probably are/plan to work on, if not, some more enemys especialy in the late game would be great.

-The powerups are good, they feel very rewarding.

-Make the time slowdown when hitting an enemy slow down less and  shorter, for me the slowdown felt too much like an fps drop beforre i got used to it.

-And finaly, enemy spawning, I got to about 45 gems, and at this point the enemys were very fast, almost impossible to dodge(that's a skill issue on my side tbh)  but maybe change the spawning system to spawn enemys based on gem count, this would allow you to balance the enemy damage/speed/spawn rate with the players estimated power.

That's a lot of feedback, but don't get me wrong I realy enjoyed your game, those are all things I noticed that could be improved.

Thank you appreciate it :)

Does a boat stay the same boat if you replace all of it's components? In my opinion, yes, if you stick to the same building instructions. Now all the philosophy aside I think you will be fine as long as you write a devlog :)

Hello! I'm improving on a game I made in 2 days, the art is terrible and realy realy needs improvement for a better atmosphere. So if you are an Artist and are intrested in joining me you can message me on (preferably) discord: snakecoder

I believe that the Jam stated in the description that you can submit after the deadline through their Discord or smth. (This was the case in an earlier jam i participated in). You are not "forced" to submitt anything, if you can't make it on time, you don't submit. That's totaly fine.

Wow didn't expect that I would see a pygame game here! The game is fun, I realy love the movement, It's just a bit too hard, would be great if the player would get health from some other source than the flowers too, Cool game!

The game is quite good, it's just a bit too hard.

I love this game, even though I  destroyed my monitor by now.

Cool game! Realy enjoyed it !

no problem, I'm just trying to help i had the same bug

Your game doesn't work because of the compression in Unity go to edit>project settings>player>HTML 5 > publish settings > compression format and disable it.

This, game is perfect! its realy fun! and if you aren't careful enough you get traped and die, so you need to think about were to go! 10/10

Realy original! Great game! Its realy satisfiying to jump on the heads of the enemies, maybe you could add something like a combo system?

Great game! I realy like the idea!  I just have one question: what exactly does the spider ?

Movement feels good, i realy like that the animations are properly synced.

haven't played much yet so correct me if i'm saying something that you already fixed (or that was intentional).

some feedback on the game:

-after faling into water or void maybe set a spawnpoint so u dont have to restart the whole level

-more player health, if you add more health you won't need to put a heal pack after every enemy.

-make moving and  attaking at the same time possible, it will make the fights more interactive.
