Speeding up of 'cursor' is what got me defeated, as I am not the fastest player around in terms of reaction speed.

I like the choice of soundtrack. You should list it in credits/game description.

Also it looks like the soundtrack is not looping, when it ends it is done.

I think you should make the background move at the same speed as spikes so it looks like the player is moving forward.

The game is good, but I find this font unusually hard to read (probably because it mixes capital letters with small letters like spongebob meme).

I see the game accepts any button as input. Scrolling mouse wheel gives a solid boost.

Surprisingly difficult for 1 button game.

Do the people on the stands have face of Barack Obama?

This animated background melts my eyes.

It would be cool if the ship retargeted the nearest enemy, but otherwise solid 1-button game.

Pretty good game.

The font is a bit hard to read. In early 2024 I've made a game that used similar font and got a lot of feedback from friends about text readability. After that all my future games use modern fonts. It is a question whenever you want to sacrifice user experience for an artistic vision or not. In my opinion keep this game as is, but in future try to plan around more readable fonts.

I though this was infinite game, but then I suddenly won.

It was better than I expected.

I somehow managed to win on the 2nd try. I wish there were some clues or deterministic way to find the light bulb, as it was now I was just wandering randomly. I would write some quiz questions on the wall, with possible answers written on paths you can take.

As a project it is good, but as a game it lacks players agency. Sorry If I sound rude, I'm not trying to critique, I just want to add some constructive feedback.

Thanks for the game.

I have 3 games on itch, none of them are indexed. Oldest one was uploaded 2 months ago.

I have now released update 1.0.1, that adds arrow keys support and few more tutorials (one of them explains boxes).

I have now released levels 36-40 with darkness. (Original version 1.0.0 is still available for download).

I totally forgot about mapping arrow keys as an alternative to WSAD. I will update the game after the voting period ends.

About the missing tutorial for boxes.. At the beginning I just made springs, spikes, ice floor and tar floor, then created few levels. Few hours later I realised "this is boring". So I added next stuff, few levels later I got bored again, and added something new again. That's why there is no tutorial for buttons, platforms, doors and boxes. On my checklist "make tutorial" was already ticked off when I created those new mechanics.

I've completed all levels.

If you put power line on invalid square (like blue square or house) it will delete itself from existance.

Very playable, but a bit too easy. Good game.

Some feedback:
There isn't much drawback in holding shield up most of the time (other than not being able to walk). Maybe if it prevented me from shooting I would put it down, but again for that I would need an alternative way to defend myself. Like dash ability. Or health regen items to overheal damage.

This generator puzzle - I know it's a children puzzle but I always fail at it. It gave me PTSD from puzzles in Izaro's Labirynth in Path of Exile. There is always 1 square that i can't solve no matter where I click.

At first I though charging/discharging batteries will happen automatically. Only after reading description I figured out that I need to click additional buttons.

Who wants to blow up this guinny pig with so many explosives?

Victory animation is the best.

I like the aspect of literally feeding the timer. At first I didn't know what to do with batteries, but later I read the description and now I know.

Good.

I wish the timer was visible on screen. Also a question, is the third room (with 2 power rods) last room? I have restarted the console and I am clueless if I won the game or where to proceed.

(1 edit)

Yes, this is fair. I planned to create levels 36-40 that had darkness, and your car lights constantly drain battery. But I haven't slept for the past 2 days, so at the end I gave up, uploaded what i had and went to sleep. I slept for 16 hours 🙀. Those deleted levels are the reason why on credits screen there is a new music track called Midnight Drive. It was meant to play during levels 36+ (credits ended up being level 36).

Now that I finally woken up it turned out I only needed to reposition point lights 0.5px into the car to fix all bugs I had with tilemap occulusion...

Can't really get this game to work. Something may be broken..

That's pretty big level you got there. My only wish is that I could fight back against the enemies.

A bit weird that hobbit can be killed by a worm. But maybe it's lore accurate, idk.

Options button is a decoy! Other than that I managed to hit myself with floor when pulling it and flew somewhere :D

For some reason in-game strawberries are a bit dark, but on victory screen they look fine. Maybe there is some issue with lighting the scene?

Otherwise good, thanks for game.

A bit hard to aim due to first person camera. But I found the bee.

Now that I think about it...

1) Buy shop
2) Buy shovel from shop
3) Misclick shovel on shop and destroy shop
4) Buy new shop
5) Shovel is restocked in shop, can be bought again

I have updated the cover. Now it is a gif.

Looks great, but lags like unreal engine. I have a bit old GPU, RTX2070Super. But the game is not that busy, so it shouldn't lag that much. I tested all quality settings from medium to cinematic and fps was pretty much the same, around 5 on all presets. Only on LOW i had 30 fps. There may be some unused unread engine things to turn off in order to fix fps on higher than "low" settings.

When switching quality settings back and forth I've encountered the following error:

Maybe there is some kind of memory leak when changing between scenes and menu?

Anyway, I've played for few minutes and the game is okey.

I can't remove grass from under the menu.

Also the shop sells shovel for the second time, idk why. Only one extra, only shovel, nothing else.

Otherwise it's nice. I will have nightmares from those deepfried portraits.

I did something weird with the orbs.

Other than that, it is a bit hard to figure out what order is connected to what orb, even with help of guide.

It took me a moment to figure out which objects are clickable. Some kind of mouseover highlight would be useful.

Finding trashcan saved my life.

Would be cool to see score.

Any bee game is a good game.

I also wanted to add guns to my bee game, but I ran out of time.

Good game. There seems to be a bug, when you die and press Z to restart, your gun can no longer shoot.

Bowbees are more cost efficient than Bumbees.

Also, if you buy enough of them, they form INFINITY.

beeutiful bee
