So in my saved game I thought... oh I can either marry or convert 1 of the hired NPCs into a slave. Then I won't have to pay them.
...
A bit of time passed. I managed to try it both ways. You can marry the NPC girl. Woohoo!
...
Well the problem is that when you marry her, when I go to the economic page, it STILL shows her salary being paid. :( It didn't change that after marrying even though it said it would on a separate guide on the web. This means it sucks my income down a LOT. And when you are starting out early in the game, you can't have a ton of income loss because the better investment opportunities can take a LONG time to build to.
Well... I went back to the prior version of the saved game to try enslaving her instead to not have to pay her salary. It was a lot of work. But I pulled it off. i convinced her giving herself to me is the best way. :) Yes! Woohoo!....
!
Ah, small problem. Even after paying her salary, I still see her income being paid. :( So this needs a way to be fixed. It should take away her salaary for both enslaving her and for marrying her, but it fails to correct it back to before. (Although in real life people would laugh their heads off and say I was nuts for thinking you pay women LESS after marrying them. LOL.) This also means I can't just enslave all the good looking hirelings now :S
Well I hope there is a fix for this? I'm guessing others saw this also. Advise?
