So in Strive for Power 2 Conquest, there's tutorials that teach you how to edit and change the variables file in the core file subsection of scr in the game folder. They then tell you to modify 2 population stat codelines. Simple and easy. But they then list a 3rd variable that is the max population variable and say to change that.

Only... that line is no longer in the variables file.

Does this mean they unlocked the ceiling of the max number of servants you can have? (or allies if you like that word better). Is there a ceiling, or was it raised?

Curious what you think.

When you go to do a dungeon or whatever... you can sometimes come back with wagon loads of slaves. This means you have too many. This prompted me to ask, if some of them don't have the obedience trait and the break in trait yet, is there a way to pay an npc in town to train them instead of only give them up?

So is this correct then? (1 meat + 1grain = 4 curry)

So... when you cook dishes in the game, it costs MORE resources to make a dish than you end up with. Example; to make 1 curry it costs you 1 meat and 2 grains. For 1 bread it costs 3 grains. Meat soup costs 1 meat and 1 vegetable.

How is that worth it to lose more resources than you gain? The only logical reason would be if the end product curry or bread or meat soup would actually be 5 meals or 3 meals or feed much more than the ingredients? But I don't know if that's actually true?

And is 1 particular type of meal made got the best efficiency to make if that's the case?

will it work to do a combination of fishing and hunting together? And 1 of the problems I've run into is that upgrading/building is very slow without a forge. If you don't have the forge will that mess all that up being able to meet the deadlines in time?

I wish there was an alternative to expeling a family member. Like a 3rd option to equip them with gear and send them out into the world (On a quest? Or to grow up? Or to find their own land to be a master). Also if you could give them gear and gold to get started that'd be nice.

The reason this seems best is... that's what you'd do when you raise kids and they grow up. They would go out on their own. And it would be nice to have an option besides (1) try to steal dad's harem, or 2) expelled!

This could be used to also seed new quests!

Like, 5 to 12 weeks later you get a quest to rescue the son you sent out into the world.

OR,

Your son that you sent out into the world is asking for a loan to startup his own minotaurgirl dairy farm. (following dad's footsteps.) so he needs seed money as a quest.

There could also be a bad son black sheep route of 1 of your kids that you sent out into the world comes back X days later to steal dad's favorite waifu. And you have to fight him.

So there's a quest in the game that pops up where your 1 of your best minions you catch them reading a letter from their family pleading for help. And its options are 1) Burn the letter, or 2) send them 20 grain.

I think both options need adjustment on this quest because if you have zero grain or less than 20 grain you are forced to burn the letter. I think it would be more helpful if you can assign a 2 day window to the quest in case you don't have 20 grain. Its not realistic for you to spit on the best minion's face to spite their family after all. But if you want to make it not to easy but still have an option you could also say... well if you don't have 20 grain today then tomorrow the grain you could still supply it but will need 30 grain instead, or 20 grain and 10 goild.

Thanks for listening.

I wondered if this game maker has made other games also? I ask because I like the depth that this one has. The ability to build over time with sandbox features I feel is very lacking in other games. So naturally part of this post is, are there are other games similar to this with both building and sandbox features like this one has?

I hope they keep adding to this game. Its level of depth make it so amazing.

So I wondered.... is there a setting that controls when body pics show in the uh... "intimacy" screen? They normally don't show then. But very occasionally... they sometimes very rare chance a pic will suddenly show itself there. And I'm not sure what determines when they do and don't show?

Is there a level limit to how high you can have your main character get? (And similar for followers/slaves?)

If there is I'd like to also know how to raise it a bit. To preserve sandbox play. And is there also a way to raise that level limit by changing something in a saved game file? Thanks.

I'd noticed a lot of certain races of followers have really low magic caps. I think this could be changed in the game by adding an alchemy potion that could raise the limit of the magic cap. But make it hard to get and expensive so that the game's initial quality of working for stats is preserved.

Thanks.

So I was reading the threads on here about changing some things in a saved file. it doesn't look too hard for some things like bed space and mansion space beds. I got that worked out reading this.

But how do I change the # of interactions my main character can do with followers per day? And is it possible to set that to be based on level? or only a flat amount? Eventually I wish it would go up like +1 every x levels for both meets and intimacy both. And I want to change both of those.

Do these older mods that are from 4 years ago or so, still work given that the game has been updated so much since? Thanks.

Thanks.

Oh interesting! I get it now. Thank you.

1) If you have equipment on a slave and then sell the slave, do you lose the gear? Or does it automatically take that off?

2) Is there an alchemy item to convert futas to normal girls? (Or... something else?)

Thanks

So... when I use water spells with a water mage, I can only use the water spells water blade and the frost prison attack spell on the front line only. I wondered if that's supposed to be a bug? It would make sense that magic attack spells should be able to hit the back row also, I thought?

Curious what you think? Its not game breaking as a bug but more of technical decision though.

Thanks.

Also in regards to your query, I thought of something else that might help. For some of these types of renpy games the load times of the game were completely different if I was playing the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version. it wasn't always straight laced with 1 being better than the other though... Sometimes the 64 bit version would run smoother, and sometimes it was the opposite. You could try this and see. You also might even be able to manually move your save files over to the other one without losing them(?) to experiment with this.

With some games, I've noticed I could cut the load time a bit by going back to main menu and then reloading the game. That trick I'd used on several other renpy games on itch.io and other similar sites.

Although I have to say that I haven't tested that trick on this particular game yet...

There's 2 suggestions of things I think would be fun to add to the game...

1) A racial bonus. What I mean is... make it so you can unlock (work for it) a bonus where it might cost less room and board for your own race's people when you use them as slaves or followers. I don't imply it should be for free, but maybe its like 75% cost of room space, or 50% or something. This kind of makes sense because your main character would have more insight into his/her own culture.

2) Another type of feature I hope can be added, is that I hope there's no limit on how many room upgrades you can get. I'm very early on in the game, and I've already maxed out slave housing space. 18/18. :S That means I'm having to turn away a lot of really cool slaves. So I hope the game can be set to let you not have a limit to how many housing upgrades you can buy. Although I'd be totally fine if their cost got really high, to make you work for it. I like working for stuff to make you appreciate it anyway.

Edited in later;

It would also be interesting to have an alchemy item you can make to use as a stamina replenisher when in the dungeon. So you don't have to repeat trips to the dungeon. (Although this could be potentially game breaking if its made too easy...)

So when you do dungeons, occasionally when you click on a room fight, it will give you the option of trying to solve it for less stamina via a strength option, a persuation option, or dexterity option, etc.

If you do that, do you get less XP for solving it that way? I can't tell because its hard to tell how much XP you get for fights anyway...

Thanks for the reply on this. But does that mean we have to fix that ourselves? I'm not sure how.

Thank you for the reply!

I have 2 questions... (Oops... I meant 3; added a 3rd one near the end.)

1st; When I go to train a slave, there's the 6 sub-skills/traits that you buy using loyalty. Usually I don't have enough spirit to train all 6 before completing the training. If you finish the training without getting the last 2, how do you go back and buy them again when you have more loyalty points? And can you do that without redoing the entire training with an oblivion potion?

2nd; I wonder if there's a way that you could add a feature to let us redo some dungeons? Or have some generic 'explore hunt for monsters' that is more general? Like when I went to the elf forest I finished that 'dungeon', but now I can't do it again... (Or does it reset like every 30 days or something could be an option to add?) It'd be good if some of the dungeons could reset after sitting empty a number of days too. I hope this could be added for enhancing the replayability and sandbox features of the game.

3rd; I wonder if you could add the ability to go back to Xari's hut, after the first time, either for quests or kill hunts or trade. It does let you go back to that hut, but if you do there's no options to revisit her or do anything else. This would be neat to add more to that. (And is there a dark elf town? I only see 2 dark elf npcs... and no way of meeting more dark elves...)

Is there a way to speed up the reaction lag between when you click on a command or button in game and when it goes off?

Example; if I try to click on the earth magic's teleport skill it takes like 20 seconds. Its similar for clicking on the mentorship skill when I go to use it and target a slave/follower, though slightly less time than teleport.

Its not really bad and the game is wonderful. Hats off to the game developer. But I wish there was  a way to speed up the wait/lag times a bit.

To be fair I'm on a budget laptop. So that's probably not the developer's fault. But I wondered what other people are doing for this.

When you click on the map to go send a party to a dungeon, it will show all your available dungeons on the list. When you go to click on 1 of them, is there a way to tell which ones you've already finished? I'm wasting a lot of time revisiting places I already cleaned out.

Thanks.

Thank you very much. Yes I was playing on hard difficulty. Now I'm doing a lower setting. Thank goodness the loan works out!

Thank you Charlie!

Oh. to follow up, is it enough to only use the contraceptive on the main character? (assuming only the main character is doing the deed...)

You know I wish this game would have the # of dates per week be # of dates per day instead. This would fit the theme better. And I do like that its set so that you have to earn the intimacy event at end of date with it not being guaranteed. That's more ideal than seeing # of times per 'intimacy' per week.

Can you change the game to have the # of dates per week be # per day instead Please?

So I've only been playing the game a couple days. And already I can see that the loan payment upcurve is breaking the game. :S

I want to suggest they change it. Also if you are hustling for money and only can do that, then you can't enjoy the good parts of just playing the game like a life sim of a 2nd life of a slave owner. I wish they could change this or have an option for more consistent loan payments that aren't too heavy. If the payment amount doubles every time, there's no way someone can continue. You hit a wall eventually.

Is there a way to pay an npc in town to train or tame your slaves? 2 slots isn't enough. And they are always filling up. I would suggest they add a tame/train feasture in town for this if they don't have this.

And I hope they can add more towns? (Is there more towns besides the main one?)

It would make sense to have this be an option in the guild or something to put it there. Maybe for a fee.

I can't see a birth control method in this game, or way to get that? Maybe I don't want to have all my team pregnant. Is there something for this added yet? Or do I have to make something with alchemy maybe?

So there's a few problems with the game. This is an amazing game by the way. I hope you keep developing it. Its also better than its predecessor in many ways.

However, there are a few bugs; one of them is... if you don't have enough rooms for your servants you can't go forward. You are stuck. Now it should penalize you for not having enough rooms if you have 7 people and only room for 6. But it shouldn't be set to making you unable to play the game anymore. And that's the problem. If you can't finish the day or go forward your only choice is to stop playing. Because the reason you have too many people is you just rescued some cool exotic slave and you don't want to give it up. But you can't give up your already tamed workers also because even if they are plain you just spent 10+ turns working to get them to be able to work for you.

So you need a middle ground option here. Maybe you can let the player still finish the day but the slave with no bunk takes a faction or morale hit or something would work better.

Does the game let you give 'female potions' to the recruitable NPCs in town? I wanted to ask that. There's a couple I like that have extra parts downstairs that I'd like to remove.

Thank you very much for your reply! I wish you a very happy and blessed day. Are you also suggesting that someone could fix unity engine problems by updating NET runtime library files?

I want to ask if BepInEx helps the normal game just run smoother? The newer version of Portals of Phereon crashes and won't start on my laptop. I wanted to ask what tweaks will work to get it to work? And I hoped someone might have advise on it. The older client downloads used to work on my laptop. In fact, there's no reason this game shouldn't work....

I hope someone might have a troubleshooting guide for it. its an interesting game.

I thought there might be a few skills you could add to the game to make it more fun to let you do more. Its OK if its really hard to work them up. But an example would be... time management skill (shaves time off activities you do. Like level 1 saves you 5% off time used doing something then tack on 1% saved for every x levels). There could be other skills too. Do you intend to add more monsters or magic to this game? You could add fishing for npc slave/helpers as a job; that's 1 skill. I don't yet know if you've added farming skills to the game but I noticed you can buy a ranch later so maybe you already have that(?).

You could add more merchant quests and merchant storyline to the game also. Like XP or money earned for doing travel contracts and bring items to different shops in various places of the maps. Like kill quests only instead of kills make stuff. And merchant levels and make merchant skills into skills you can acquire also. You could add several merchant skills... 1 for discounts, 1 for upselling or marketing, etc.

...

You don't technically have to add this. Your game is already good. But its fun to keep doing things and keep seeing what you'll add.
