The overall concept is cool, I wished there was a way to upgrade your weapon :)

Very solid entry :)

Great game across the board! This would really shine with some kind of aoe spell with cooldown to get rid of the many spiders at some point. Overall though a very enjoyable experience. :)

Dankeeee 🥰🥰 Ich habe die Person, von der der Text ist, im Spiel verlinkt :D Devi bei insta.

Interesting concept you can build on :)

Interesting implementation of the theme :)

I can't get it to run on any browser, the game makes them crash :/

Aw how cool I'll check it out! Well that's what it is, maybe in a post jam polish 😄

Man there's a lot to love here. It's really cool that you actually came up with some solid world building for a short jam. Also it shows that you're an artist. The only caveat is that the audio restarts when you die - and this is a game where you die a lot, so I never got to hear the full soundtrack :D

That didn't even cross my mind, and it's such an easy fix! Thanks a lot :) Also, cheers mate, it's not art if it was by a machine that stole from people.

Interactive fiction games are really cool. I would advise against using AI pictures, it makes it look a lot less professional.

The concept of this game is really cool, the only thing it lacky is a bit of juice. With a bit of polish, you have a really cool idea at hands :)

Like the other people commenting, I didn't quite catch the overall goal of the game.  Also, consider not using AI generated content as your cover image, I think it takes away from the autenticity.

The gameplayloop was fun, you could elevate the entry byworking a bit on your UI and making it fit the overall tone of the game :)

Fellow Pico-8 Dev :D I like this entry, proof that simple games with limitations sometimes jst work :)

This is a really cool proof of concept. As a seasoned Pokemon player, I enjoyed this kind of cozy puzzle quite a lot :)

There's potential here :) Try making the bullets bigger and more visible and the AI less agressive, that takes a lof of the difficulty. Also a health bar makes a lot of sense in those kind of games, even if it's just a number going down, it adds a lot readability.

A short but very solid entry, nice work :)

when I was your age I couldn't write a single line of code, congrats for this entry! :)

For a first game, this is some very, very good work! The puzzles are solid and the idea is highly creative. You could work on making your movement more snappy and add in a zoom in/out fearure. Also, switching between planets would have been nicer if you could do it by the press of a single button instead of having to open another menu.

I must say this was one of the most enjoyable entries I've played so far, well done! The gameplay, sound and graphics really come together in a nice and pleasant way. If you'd like some feedback:

- stop the camera when the map ends, that way you avoid your players see a dark void of nothingness to either side. Procedural generation would also solve this issue

- the candle element really wasn't prominent enough

- Screen shakes would juice it up a ton

- It says you're not much of an artist, but the pixel art is really solid. Your game would profit from a more modern UI, especially considering the overall tone

overall I had a blast with this one though so keep going :)

Nice game :) you could try lowering the brightness of the flashlight at close range, it's kinda really harsh.

To elevete this game you could try editing its itch.io page, the white default design doesn't fit the tone of the overall experience :)

I made it :D I think adding something that chases you would really benefit this game, some sort of enemy, to make it more unsetteling.

I really liked the puzzle mechanic, you can build on that :)

The core features are fitting. You could try juicing things up by adding unsettling music and eccects when killing the ennemies, particle explosions, screen shakes or knckbacks for example :) espacially knockbacks would give the player a bit breathing room while fighting.

(1 edit)

I thnik the stronges point of your game is the athmosphere. It's really unsettling, outherworldish, dangerous. You Could try adding a bit of juice and particles for the extra polish :)

Thanks :)

Thanks! Maybe if I’ll clean up the code a bit :)

Very fun idea. The description had me shocked for a bit :D

cool idea and juicy execution.

This just helped me out SO much, thx a lot!

That's a really good idea, thannk you! :)

That's a lot of fun!

This is made with Godot

Very cool!
