Fixed in 0.26.10, the catch log shouldn't flicker on the Summer 2 fish any more, even scrolled right down. Notices also now tell you where their fish bite, which might help with the story side you mentioned. Thanks again for spotting it.

Thanks for coming back to it again, this is really useful. The catch log on the Summer 2 fish is a fair catch, I'll get that fixed. The slow end of Summer 2 is exactly what I'm working on right now: a way to put your quid towards Tales so you're never just sitting waiting. And I like the tackle ideas a lot, especially one that helps you land the fish a notice is after. Noted, and thank you.

Good shout, that's in now. There's an Unlocks button bottom right (or press U) that lists every stone you've raised, what it unlocked and how to use it.

Thanks for sticking with it. Auto hire wasn't broken as such, it only ever hired creel carriers and hardly ever fired. Now it hires the best value hauler while stone piles up, and the row flashes +1 when it does. The heave now pays 5% of the stone's price on a perfect pull, so it stays worth doing late on. And you were right about the cairn: quarrying was the bottleneck, so it barely helped. It now speeds up quarrying as well, so it's always a clear gain.

You're right, and it was worse than it looked. Iron picks were speeding up carrying as well as quarrying, and haulers were far too cheap, so carrying ran way ahead of the quarry. The staging cairn now boosts quarrying too, and a full rebalance is on the way so the two stay level all game.

Thank you for playing all the way through the second summer, and for such a clear write-up. You're not the first to say the start is too busy, so I'm going to slow the opening right down and give you time to read each thing before the next one arrives. Glad you enjoyed the mechanics once it settled.

Thanks for coming back to it, and for writing all that out. The langoustine and octopus kept coming because once you have Give Them a Job (or Mending ★50), hands keep hauling their creels while they're off on errands. The game never tells you that, so that's on me. The next update also spreads the hands over the other spots on their own, going for catches you haven't logged yet, so you won't be stuck with the one pair. Missing the hands arriving while the Pier board was open is a good catch, and I've noted the notices toggle and an easier way to see which errands have a free level-up. Glad it's a nice one to chill with.

Thanks for playing, and you're not missing much, it's just not explained well enough. Each spot's creels catch different things: whelks at the Harbour Steps, squat lobster and spider crab at the Kelp Bed, langoustine and curled octopus in the Deep Channel, and crawfish Beyond the Light. Your hands go to the furthest spot you're not fishing, which is why you keep getting the Deep Channel pair. Open the Pier board and use Move under Where your hands work to send them to the other spots. I'll make the catch log say where each one lives.

Cosmo_Hill's got it right, it's the shimmering patch of fish that turns up on the water now and then. Tap it and they bite straight away for a short while. The hint didn't say that, so it does now. Thanks for asking, it helped fix it.

Thanks for coming back to it. The extra spinner slot and more bait after the first summer are good ideas, they're on the list. The flicker when you hover between fish in the catch log is a bug, I'm fixing it now. Sending hands out one by one and calling them back is a good shout too.

Ha, sorry about the wrath of god. You were right though, the opening was throwing about ten cards a minute at people. The latest update gathers new fish into one card, lets the villagers' introductions wait for you, and gives you the x10 and Max buttons right when you reach the Deep Channel. Thanks for sticking with it to the end.

Thank you, that means a lot. You weren't the only one who found the start too quick, so the latest update calms it down a fair bit. And thanks for helping out with the shoals question too.

Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it :)

You get Sea Glass at the end of a summer. Once you land the Lamplighter out Beyond the Light, a glass jar turns up on the quay. Click it and everything you caught and found that summer turns into Sea Glass, which you spend on the net before starting Summer 2. It's not explained well enough yet, so I'm making it clearer. Thanks for asking :)

glad to hear it's working on, let me know how you get on. Have a great weekend!

Thank you :)

The first hand comes from Lore (the Hired Hand node). The other two come from notices on the board later on: the fishmonger from the mainland wants 40 halibut, and the harbour café wants 65 monkfish (that one opens after A Selkie's Favour in Lore). Both are caught out Beyond the Light. That's clearly too hidden though, so I'll make it clearer in the game. Thanks for playing!

Thank you, this is really useful. The level-up popups showing as code is a bug I'm fixing now, along with a proper on and off switch for the auto bait and letting the villagers' thank-you notes show in full so you get to know who's who. More lore and giving the hands more to do are on the list too. Glad you liked the ending, and thanks for playing it all the way through!

Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed it and that the story came through. There's more on the way, and thanks for the follow, you'll be the first to hear when it lands. If you fancy it, the Discord is where the updates and chat happen: https://discord.gg/mbGrSFZGAa

Thanks for letting me know, looking into it now. Was it on iPhone or Android, and did you have the phone sideways or upright?

Yeah that's what happened. You were one level short and while you were away the practice caught you up, so the bait tin hooked the Lamplighter on its first cast. So not a bug, just good timing for once.

Some kind of prestige after the ending is on the list. Still working out what shape it takes, so ideas like yours help.

A lot of your notes are already in 0.18. Casting practice works now, hired hands actually earn, stars have plain names and errands have their own tab. Thanks for taking the time, it helped a lot!

Ha, sorry about that. Did it play the whole ending again as soon as you loaded in, or did you just land the Lamplighter again straight away? If it's the first one that's a bug I want to squash.

Thanks so much for playing all the way through and writing this up, it's really useful. You're right about quite a lot of it. The Casting practice is bugged and not giving XP, and that's being fixed now. The errands were far too hidden, so as of today they have their own tab at the top. Stars and upgrades are getting plain descriptions of what they actually do, and the next skills to learn will be much easier to spot. I'm also looking hard at the balance, since snowballing into just clicking everything isn't what I want it to feel like. A proper goal is coming too, with seasons that work a bit like a prestige. If you fancy another go after the next update I'd love to hear if it feels better. Would just like to say thank you once again for the post as it means a lot that you played it and the feedback is priceless.

You got there already?! Fair play, what did you think?
