I need some tweaks to get the sub 1

Easy game; relaxing and comfy experience. This is a visual novel I would say.

Thank you Nassi! We had another concept for the intro and outro, Harpy made some really cool banners for them but I ran out of time and couldn't implement them sadly, I'm glad to see the intro is still at least decent in some way

yo this is so cute, nice written

I got one eye open, does the other one open too? I will come and try after some time cause the difficulty genuinely caught me off guard

Also lovely art and music, the moment where eveerything darkens is so well made

I knew throwing lithium batteries to the ocean was gonna pay back some day

the art in this is really cool, the concept might need some polish  but it def has its potential, love the whole retro vibes on this

GOTY

crazy good, I love games where the gameplay and narrative become one, also a nice use of the jam's theme
Also the monster feels good as well, you just panick the first time you see it but then you realise how to properly avoid it, a very well thought game

This is me. I just cannot explain it, but this is how I look irl

i keep getting a bit confused on who moves to the left and who moves to the right, although I guess that's the point of the game

I really like the design of the blue bot!

simple concept, really well implemented, I am kinda jealous on this design, none of the levels were too simple or complex, they were really fun and satisfying, great job!

Also, about the gap in the music loop, I believe .mp3 files add a silence at the start of the sound, I was told that by Daniel (the composer of Max & Deedee) and I also experimented it when using .mp3 files in my games, it might be that?

happens

Also you should try Bunny and Bot as well by Singleshotgamer team, It's also a puzzle platformer with two characters, but with a faster pace and style, very cool

damnn

I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! The game went through many testing phases, and the whole team really helped with testing and tips on the puzzles and mechanics, along with the great art and music that they developed. I'm really happy to see it worked out.

epic

So did you implement it and I missed it? or was it just a non implemented concept?

amazing game, simple concept really well implemented, I just feel like it really knows its identity, there was no time wasted on a cool intro or a pause menu or anything, it's just pure gameplay and I love it

how the hell did you guys manage to make this in only 2 weeks, I would have loved to see you all developing this story, the scenes, hell the whole color composition that makes this so alive, along with the gameplay, the puzzles and the visual effects, maybe the ending was a bit weak but I feel like I have just played a fully developed game outside of a jam

epic

The gameplay, puzzles and mechanics are cool, but what I really love is the art and vibes of all this, left me waiting for more, the ending really hit me man

the amount of dialogue in this game is amazing, the mechanic of catching fish to get to know them is awesome and the art is beautiful as hell

Just to give some criticism, it took a bit to me to see that you have to enter the actual gameplay by pressing E; since it's the core mechanic of the game, maybe it would be better to have a button near the SS Marina instead of in the mobile?

Still amazing job

aye ty

would love to see that!

HECK YEA

I got greedy.

Glad you enjoyed Pablo! Music was made by Arky (lilfurro in discord), and indeed he did a great job on the ending music, most probably I would have put the "The End" text as soon as you put the candle on the cake and called it a day, but it would have felt like wasting a song that was clearly made with much love

Ty!!!! The whole team put tons of effort into coordinating and getting those really cute vibes. I also loved jono's approach on the forward jump animation; matcha's sprite at the ending scene is actually made of individual frames of that animation that were adorable by themselves

Thanks for playing! The flame colliding was truly a discussion topic in our team, since it is not a solid object, but being able to  put the flame inside a wall would mean you could just hide the flame from any hazard, so we decided to go this way on the end.

Sad to see that there was only one level cause the gameplay seemed to have great potential

Also love the end screen

Yeah, same happened to me on my first jam (you just have to see my other game here on itch, it ended up being an unplayable mess cause neither me nor my artist had enough time to finish it), still it's good to see you here playing our games, hope you are having fun!

I may have got a bit out of hand with difficulty, people seem to have a hard time on the first turret and it was supposed to be the tutorial so there's a lesson for me on level design lol. The matchboxes were made by cheeze (cheezenim on discord)

I noticed that there's no game attatched to your reply, did you participate on the jam in a team? 👀

thanks for playing Echo!!! Matcha's animations were made by Jono (sevenninetwo792 in discord), and indeed they are cute as hell, especially the jumping forward imo, glad you enjoyed it!

ty!!! Not gonna lie, the levels were made on a rush since at that point we were already getting short on time, I'm glad it turned out well in the end (maybe a bit harder than the initial idea, but still playable for most as it seems!)

❤️!!!

Thanks! Was fun seeing how you played it on twitch, really helps to see the player experience

Thank you! I tried to make it charm and relaxing, but I always manage to make challenging levels somehow, the artists really put that vibe into the game though
