We’ve played a few games of this and we had fun! It’s far faster than we were anticipating. A couple times one of us was like, “oh, oops, I only have one gnome left. You win!”

I think this is the case, but I'm not entirely sure. When a gnome re-enters the thicket they lose their role and could pop back out as a different role? Essentially, are roles assigned/tracked to the hidden pieces?

heh. Manual labor for the win. Thanks for playing!

haha! It’s a hatred we can all rally behind. Thanks for playing and sharing it!

Thank you for playing it!

Yay! Thanks for playing it.

Thank you for checking it out!

You're very kind! Thank you for playing it!

Thank you very much for playing it!

Thank you for playing it! Glad it could buoy your spirit.

No, don't use any blockers, vpn, etc. I dunno. I play Twine games all the time. Glad I was able to play in Firefox; it's a neat experience!

Just a heads up for others: for me, Chrome wouldn't run this, but Firefox did just fine.

Did I choose wisely? Only the dead can say. Good work!

I wonder what the cola tastes like? Vanilla cherry?

People always think they're the exception. (Great game!)

Can't stop, won't stop. Good work!

I'm sitting at my dining room table with the windows open today despite it being a little chilly. The sun pours in nonetheless. This game complemented that scene very well. Good work!

Thank you for playing it!

Or skip the button press to clear the blank screen.

Right, so is there a way to have something in that blank transitional screen? Right now it goes final message>>press button>>blank screen>>press button>>restart.

Not in the slightest. Here's the file so you can see: http://blog.patientrock.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/AustinIntro.html

Theme suggestion: Social Gathering

Bonus answer: Geocaching. It's a game where people hide a container and then post the coordinates for other people to find and sign the log inside. Geocaches are generally meant to be placed at interesting places so you end up discovering places you never would have visited otherwise, and often they're hidden in creative ways so that is a whole other game unto itself.

Hello, new pals, I made a little game as an introduction for my digital game design portfolio and I’m very happy with it! When the game ends and after the final message, however, it sits on a blank screen. Is there a way to get it to just stay on the final message, or to restart the whole thing?

The game has the vibe I need right now. If you're able to tweak it at some point, I'd love to be able to save.
