yeah that was supposed to become a boss arena. Thanks for playing!

Thank you for your kind words! I think if we continue development after the jam ends there's definitely room to pump the difficulty up. It's pretty fun designing the puzzles, so there's a decent chance we return to it sooner or later. Thanks for the heads up on the jam name -- that's pretty embarrassing so I'll update it asap T_T

Holy cow this was a killer game. The movement felt a bit extreme, but that's just if I'm being nitpicky. The game is a challenge, applies the theme well, and is a great jam game with potential to be something more. Keep it up!

Well done finishing and submitting the game! The controls are straightforward and easy to understand. The UFO was a nice touch to counter the seemingly unbeatable strategy of constantly jumping

The music was well done and I loved the addition of recorded voice lines. Great job!

Solid game feel with responsive, quick movement. I would have liked a larger pickup radius for the ammo crates as there were a couple times where I swear I ran through a crate and it didn't register. Overall great submission!

Well done. The mechanics are straightforward to understand and it presents a nice challenge of managing health/ammo while also moving around with purpose.

I got stuck inside the house and couldn't do anything. Are there controls that I'm missing or is that the unfinished part of the game?

Yeah, I wish I gave myself time to implement some powerups (like the piercing shot you mentioned), but it got scrapped for time. Thanks for the suggestion and for playing!

I think this game has a lot of potential, especially as it has a single-touch interface that'd work pretty well in the mobile space. As it is, some of the jam time crunch showed in my inability to change a unit's direction or convince a soldier that there was indeed an enemy in his sights. Great job regardless!

Thank you, fellow tank-aficionado!

I'm happy you liked it! Thanks for playing :)

This was a fun little game. The movement felt satisfying without being floaty or too dull and the rotation mechanic fit well with the theme. Well done!

Thanks for playing and for the comment :)

Thanks for playing! If I get around to improving on the game post-jam I'll definitely consider adding some secondary attack that can make use of the recoil. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Well-executed and a great use of both the theme and the assets. I got myself soft-locked in the second room, but had fun nonetheless

Thank you for playing and for the bug report! I'm glad you liked it

The overlaying texture made for a really neat extra-dimensional effect and I loved the lap mechanic making the first level harder as you went. Great jam entry!

I had planned for piercing shots to be an upgrade, but had to scrap the whole power-up drop system to keep the scope in check. Hopefully I'll have some time post-jam to tune the game up and add the stuff I had to abandon. Thanks for playing and for the suggestion!

Thank you :) I tried to make the cannon firing as juicy as possible because it's quite literally the only mechanic lol

I'm happy you liked it! Thanks for the comment

I'm pleased you noticed the aim assist. Hopefully it wasn't too immersion-breaking. Thanks for playing and for commenting!

Thanks for playing and commenting! Glad you enjoyed it

Brilliant. Well-designed, great-looking, and fun to play. You clearly put thought into the progression of mechanics/hazards and presented an extremely solid game jam entry. Well done

Neat idea! I'll echo what Fyodor said below that the ability to move the paddles in smaller increments would feel a bit better. All in all, great job finishing and submitting!

I like how calm the game feels. Would work great as a casual mobile game. Well done!

Simple, clean, and well-designed. Very solid game jam entry!

Very well done! Visually consistent and gameplay is well-communicated. I had a bit of a hard time with the A/D rotations in the wrong direction, but that wouldn't be a problem over a longer period playing the game.

Neat platformer, but I'll echo what I see other commenters mentioning that I don't really feel 'rotation' in this

Really solid game! You packed a lot into such a small space (and time); well done :)

Thanks!

Thanks for the review! The keyboard controls could (and should) have been better though out. I designed it for my keyboard without taking into account that most people have the staggered rows of a normal keyboard. Also, I couldn't figure out a nice way to have the same sort of analog control that the joysticks offer (where you can engage in partial measures instead of perfectly binary 1/0)

Thanks! And yeah, I mostly tested this with the gamepad because it feels better. I added keyboard support but in my rush neglected to take into account that not everybody has a weird ortholinear keyboard like me (R/F and U/J are stacked directly on top of each other, so it makes sense as forward/reverse)

Thanks! This game jam was 100% about the juice for me, since I knew I didn't have time for stuff like powerups or varied level design.

You control the left and right tread independently with the controls found on the pause menu or start screen. So if you want to go straight forward, you'd move both sides forward (so R and U on keyboard or both sticks forward on a gamepad). Then you can rotate in either direction by pointing the treads in opposite directions. Hopefully this clears it up and doesn't make it more confusing

Thanks! I think it's pretty obvious that I developed this as gamepad-first due to how many comments mention the troublesome keyboard controls, but I just love driving around so much

Thanks for taking the time to play and comment! Usually I try to incorporate the control instructions into the first level itself, but I just couldn't manage it this time. I'm glad you figured it out :)

Glad you liked it! I was going for 'juice' above all else in this jam. Also, just in case anyone else is looking through these comments for other great games to play, go try Island Strike! You won't regret it.

I would have loved some visual feedback to see if what I was doing was correct. I ended up mashing the two mouse buttons in rapid sequence, which seemed to be working.

Stellar game. I love the look and feel of the game and your maps are brilliant. It's tough due to how accurate the enemies are, but it's a rewarding feeling to get through it. Favorite game I've played in this jam yet, well done!
